On assessment days, you are to put your phone in the compartments at the front of the classroom until all tests or quizzes have been turned in. Student Responsibilities: Respect and courtesy for all others in the class should govern student behavior at all times in this class. Policies regarding student behavior/responsibilities as stated in the Student Handbook shall be strictly enforced. Specific responsibilities for this course include: 1) Be on time to class. 2) Be fully prepared for class before the tardy bell rings. This means having all required materials (text, notebook, pencils, calculator, and assignments) with you and on your desk. 3) Complete all assignments. All instructional activities are designed to optimize student learning of course material, and students are expected to complete all of these in a timely manner. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY: Cheating is considered a serious matter. The parents of a student who has been involved in cheating will be notified and the student will receive a grade of zero for the test or evaluation period, and a grade of U in conduct.

For this course, cheating is defined as, but is not limited to, the following acts: . Copying anyone’s answers to questions, exercises, study guides, classwork or homework assignments . Looking onto another student’s paper during a test or quiz. . Having available any study notes or other test aids during a test or quiz without the teacher's permission. . Collaborating on assignments when independent work is expected. . If you have a cell phone during an assessment (whether or not you have turned in your paper), you will receive a 0 for the assessment.
