Standard Five: Implements Professional Counseling Comments MS PNI UPS Duties o Effectively plans, implements and communicates the necessary details regarding providing crisis counseling services to student o Utilizes effective communication skills for maintaining public relations and conducting public presentations o Engages in the timely planning, effective communication and conducting of any individual responsibilities for end- of-year events o Meets with site admin to discuss and review students as needed o Effectively responds to on-site situations and changes in a timely and professional manner o Provides information, counseling, and support to students, families, educational teams and others regarding students’ emotional needs o Provides drug and alcohol counseling to high school students, including those on zero tolerance contracts.
