Snippet Holder

A little container to put all the little threads in while doing hand sewing—great to take with you to keep your mess in one place!

Requirements (2) 10” squares of coordinating fabric -- sewing notion prints look cute. (3) Small buttons to coordinate with our fabric Matching Ribbon, Optional.

Instructions: Cut (2) 10 “equilateral triangles (all sides same length) from the squares. (the larger the triangles the larger the container. Place right sides together and stitch ¼ “seam. Stitch all sides leaving 2 ‘opening to turn. Trim Corners but do not clip threads. Turn right side out and press. Hand Stitch the opening closed. Top stitch 1/8 “from edge all three sides. Match two points and sew a 1/8” seam from the fold up about 1-1/2” from the bottom. Do this on all three corners; this will make your snippet holder stand up. Hand stitching also an option. Turn down each point and secure with a button. Extra tip: Ribbon run under the flaps will act as a drawstring to keep your snippets from falling out. Designer unknown.
