FIELD DAY GENERAL INFORMATION

May 7 th and May 8th, 2015 As Field Day quickly approaches we would like to send home a few reminders to insure your child has the most memorable time possible:  It is highly suggested that each child come with plenty of sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle with his/her name on it.  If your student has any medical conditions that we are unaware of please inform our school nurse and Mr. Homansky/Ms. Hill via written note. Along the same lines, any asthmatic students should have their inhalers on them for the entire day.  All electronic devices are to be left at home. If they are seen they will be taken up and a parent/guardian must pick it up from the front office.  Hats and sunglasses are permitted but all other Cobb County dress code rules must be followed.  Students purchasing a school lunch will be provided a sack lunch.  Students and parents need to be aware that all other Nickajack and Cobb County school rules still apply to this event, even if those rules are not specifically mentioned in this letter.

VOLUNTEER and DONATION INFORMATION This year all volunteer sign-ups will be done electronically via the links below. This information can also be found in the Beat and the Nickajack P.E. blog. The dates are Thursday May 7th for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd and Friday May 8th for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. If you cannot volunteer your time we would appreciate donations of 3 oz Dixie cups, freeze and eat popsicles, and bags of ice. These can be dropped off any time leading up to field day. Should you have questions in the meantime please feel free to contact Mr. Homansky or Ms. Hill at [email protected] or [email protected].
