After losing our home and most of all else to Hurricane Ivan in September, 2004, we stubbornly decided to rebuild on site. Thus began a 2½-year adventure of cleaning out, playing the insurance game and rebuilding. We spent about a year on the move, a motel, an apartment, FEMA trailer, before renting a house. We moved into our new home (same address, same phone) in February, 2007. As many of you already know, the welcome mat is out. I retired again at the end of 2008, but continue my volunteer efforts with the Better Business Bureau of Northwest Florida, serve as a county court mediator, church trustee, Adjutant of our local Purple Heart Chapter, and Treasurer of our local chapter of the Military Officers’ Association of America (MOAA). Chris is equally, if not more, involved in a number of organizations to include our church, Chamber of Commerce, Woman’s Club, and a variety of fund raising activities. Son, Mike, now a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserve, is flying C-17’s out of Charleston AFB, South Carolina. His day job is flying with Southwest Airlines out of Houston. He and wife, Sheila, live in nearby Spring, Texas. Since both are Texas A&M grads, they can be seen at all home games in College Station. Fellow Aggie, our daughter, Stephanie, has lived in Austin for 18 years now, since graduating from A&M. Stephanie works for the University of Texas as a Graduate Program Coordinator, assisting graduate students by administering and coordinating the Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics graduate program. She and husband, Titus, are busy with our grandchildren. Jared, 11, is very active in gymnastics and will be entering the 7th grade at a magnet school in Austin. Emma, 8, will be entering the 4th grade. We are thankful that our family is able to get together 2 or 3 times a year, in spite of the distances involved.

We try to get to the beach as often as we can—but not nearly frequently enough. Carla and I enjoy playing bridge as often as we can. Our children and their families are healthy and happy. Lisa is still teaching special education in elementary school; her husband (Chris) is busy with his real estate practice in the Charleston area. Lara continues to practice OB/GYN; her husband (Pete) works for Boeing at Charleston AFB. Maggie has temporarily stopped her OB/GYN career—having her 2nd son in October last year; her husband (Jim) just completed his Squadron Command at McChord AFB and will be attending the Army War College this fall (Maggie hopes to do some part time work at Carlisle). Mary has decided upon a career change—leaving computer management and going into some type of environmental/wildlife preservation activity; her husband (Mike) works as a computer programmer. Mary and Mike do a lot of sailing; often they are joined by our oldest grandson (Marc). Mary has completed several triathlon events—including an “Ironman” in Wilmington, NC last fall. We are looking forward to seeing the updated directory. If anyone is in the central South Carolina area, don’t hesitate to contact us—we have space for visitors any time.

JOSEPH J. COREY, Jr. 25071 Spouse: Barbara Cadet Co.: 1960-62 G-2 Children: Joseph John III - 11/17/66 1962-64 D-2 Russell Louis - 10/22/1969 Matthew William - 11/16/74 Grandchildren: William Frederick Corey – 8/-/06 Josie Alma Corey – 5/-/09 Jacob Warren Corey – 6/-/09 Business Address Home Address Joseph J Corey Jr. . 4605 Greenbreeze Lane 804 Prince Street Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina 27526 Cary, North Carolina 27511 (919) 467-5970 (919) 285-2419 Email: [email protected] Email: [email protected] Cell: (919) 810-7013 Cell: (919) 810-7013 Title: Consultant - Contracting and Supply Chain Management Nature of Business: Nuclear and Power Plant Engineering and Construction Projects and Contracts. Remarks: I do not remember all of my West Point roommates and it is terrible. I remember some, Arthur Kierstead, Harry Kaufman, Morris Lent, Jay Cope, I think J.P. Downey. I do remember some things about my West Point days and my time in the Army. I remember meeting Jan Huey many times on various fire bases during out time in Vietnam with the 101st ABN Division. Jan was an artillery battery commander and I was an engineer company commander. We would sit on ammo boxes in Jan’s bunker and chat. Barbara and I have been married for almost 45 years. We now have 3 grandchildren. Joe III has been married for 5 years to his wife Rebecca and Matt for 2 years to his wife Rebecca. It’s easy to remember my daughter in laws names. (Not like all those old roommates with different names) Russell is living in Burbank, California, working for Disney and is still single. Anyone have any single daughters between 35 and 45 in the Los Angeles area? I retired from Progress Energy in March of 2004 after 23 years and have been enjoying the time with Barbara. For several years we were both long distance caregivers for my wonderful Aunt Mary, who lived in Dedham, Massachusetts. For several years we made a monthly drive from Cary to Dedham, spending 2 weeks in Cary and 2 weeks in Dedham each month. With our help and the help of my cousin, Aunt Mary was able to live in her home until she was 94. It was very satisfying to me to be able to help her. When I was a child of 3, my mom was very ill and incapacitated for several years and guess who took care of me, yes, Aunt Mary. Barbara and I are trying to keep healthy and enjoying the time together. I do a little consulting as people seem to have problems understanding the contracts they sign. With a lot of nuclear plant retrofit and the specter of new nuclear plants coming, I may keep busy for longer than I want to. I still volunteer as a facilitator in a graduate level entrepreneurial program at NC State and also do a few guest lectures in contracting management for the classes in the Supply Chain Management curriculum at NC State. Will I ever finish my book on contract management? In my spare time I love wood working and my model trains. At the end of 2008 Barbara and I purchased another home in a wonderful location 12 miles from the home where we spent 30 years. We moved there at the end of April 2009 and have been working on getting everything out of the old place and my aunts place in Boston for over a year now. Sometimes I think it is better to move across the country rather than move next door. Our goal is by the end of 2010 to be back to looking after one house.

BRUCE RALPH CORLEY 25446 Spouse: Kathy Corley Cadet Co.: 1960-62 C-1 Children: Bruce Wayne Corley – 10/25/66 1962-64 G-1 Paige Robinson Corley – 5/28/69 Kerry Jack Corley – 4/22/72 Grandchildren: Not yet. Relocated to North Padre Island – Corpus Christi and fished every day. I was diagnosed with an Alzheimer’s related condition in 2001. Then relocated to Sun City, Georgetown, Texas. We love it here – wonderful city, people, and facilities. I stay at home with my wife, Kathy. I do whatever I feel like doing, whenever I feel like doing it – if I can get the door unlocked and my wife isn’t watching me. I love to visit with my sister, Bette Rose Bowers and brother-in-law Mike when they come from Atlanta. No grandchildren yet, but I hope to be able to hug a few of them while I still can. “Life is good.”

Eagle Ridge Drive Surprise, Arizona 85374 E-Mail: [email protected] Cell: (623) 210-0980 Title: Consultant Nature of Business: Management consulting Remarks: Bartye and I have had our hearts set on leaving Green Bay winters (five months long) for warmer climates for some time. I am delighted to report that we have fulfilled our dreams at last. In a six-week period beginning in May 2010, we sold a house, bought a house, packed, and consummated a long-distance move to Surprise, Arizona. We are currently in the process of unpacking and settling in. Bartye grew up in TX & NM, yet for the past 29 years I have “dragged” her from one cold climate to another. Earlier this year, she looked at me and said those two compelling words: “it’s time”. Bartye continues to fly the friendly skies as a flight attendant with United Airlines. United is engaged in due diligence with Continental for a merger that, if approved, will likely take place on or about January 2011. Her career affords us the opportunity to travel a bit, which is good considering the fact that our kids are spread all over: Tennessee, New Mexico, California and Australia. I have placed my consulting business on temporary hold pending getting our act together in our new location. I was privileged to have Dick Chilcoat as a roommate all of Cow year. When it was revealed that Chil had taken a turn for the worse in January 2010, I began planning a visit. As a result of my several conversations with Dixie, Mel Case, Frank Mashburn, et. al., I threw the plans away and hopped a flight to College Station on January 16, three short months to the day of Dick’s passing. I shared the better part of a day with Dixie, Ashley (their daughter), and Chil. It was an occasion that I will treasure forever. We shared stories, laughed together, cried together, hugged & kissed, and so forth. We parted with me planting a kiss on Chil’s forehead, after which he remarked, “Jim, you are a true friend”. Ashley presented me with some great photos to commemorate the visit, and shared some photos of Mel giving Dick a haircut and shave on an earlier visit.
