Admission to the Program Is Competitive

The RU Ready for Public/Healthcare Services Program is a six week summer experience that engages high school students from the Greater Newark area in a career readiness curriculum and internships for the fields of public and healthcare services. The program aims to expand students’ knowledge of these fields and the broad array of education and employment opportunities that exist via seminars, field experiences, exposure to practitioners and work internships. Ultimately, the programs aims to increase students’ awareness of needs within their community and strategies to address them, how they can assume service leaderships roles, the opportunities and demand for committed professionals and how they can prepare for rewarding careers in the future.

Admission to the program is competitive.

Requirements: Minimum 2.75 Cumulative GPA Must be a rising junior or senior in high school Others will be considered on a space-available basis.
