She studies in her school’s 24 gifted and talented program; and 25 26 Whereas, she has served as team leader for the March of Dimes 27 March for Babies, captain of Conway High School’s JV ladies 28 soccer team, and captain of the school’s Bteam cheerleading 29 squad. She is also a teacher for ages two to four at Cedar Grove 30 Baptist Church; and 31 32 Whereas, an accomplished singer, she performed “I Believe” as 33 her talent in the Miss South Carolina Teen Pageant; and 34 35 Whereas, after high school graduation, Caroline Grace Blanton 36 plans to attend the Medical University of South Carolina in order 37 to prepare for a career as a nurse anesthetist; and 38 39 Whereas, honored to serve the State and her home county, she has 40 used her time as Miss South Carolina Teen to promote the fine 41 work of the March of Dimes and Children’s Miracle Network and

[3892] 2 1 to encourage other young women throughout the State to work 2 hard so they can achieve their dreams; and 3 4 Whereas, during her reign, Caroline Grace Blanton has provided a 5 gracious and graceful role model that represents the combined 6 qualities of intellect, talent, loveliness, and charm for which our 7 great State is known. Now, therefore, 8 9 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 10 11 That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, 12 by this resolution, congratulate Caroline Grace Blanton, Miss 13 South Carolina Teen 2010, of Horry County, and commend her for 14 the discipline, aspirations, and talent that have enabled her to 15 represent the Palmetto State with dignity and poise. 16 17 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to 18 Caroline Grace Blanton. 19 XX 20
