Remember students! Use the flyer you got from your homeroom teacher to set up your Read-A-Thon page and start asking your loved ones to visit your page! For 8th graders: This Friday will be our first College Café of the 2016-17 school year. This month we will explore James Madison University and discuss strategies you can use to make sure you are accepted into the college or university of your choice. Sign-up sheets will be available during lunches. In addition, this year there will be a suggestion box available so you can request a college or university for future Cafes. Hope to see you there!

Registration for PEP (Parents as Educational Partners) classes will be held at Beville Middle School on Tuesday, October 11, through Thursday, October 13, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. for ELL parents looking to learn more about our school and to improve their English language skills. This program is free.

Be a ZERO HERO from now until November 3! To qualify for the first PROWL celebration of the year, a Zero Hero will acquire no disciplinary referrals or minor reports for any reason for this time period. Go Bobcats! Bobcats: We are kicking off our new recycling program for this school year. As a kickoff event during lunch shifts, today, Wednesday and Thursday – the Student Council will be collecting EMPTY milk cartons, soda cans, and bottles. The SCA will be sitting in front of the cafeteria, so please bring these items to them. Make sure the cartons, cans and bottles are completely empty.
