Prize-winning product innovations from Meiko: dishwashing technology specialist takes three key awards

This year's Internorga in Hamburg once again proved to be a major highlight in the hospitality calendar. The exhibition was accompanied by a variety of award ceremonies designed to honour the most prestigious and exciting brands in the industry. The Offenburg, Germany-based manufacturer of professional dishwashing technology, MEIKO, took pride of place in this group, receiving several awards.

Readers of the BL Medien journals GVmanager, First Class and 24h Gastlichtkeit voted Meiko into 1st place in the category of dishwashing technology manufacturers. In addition, the industry journal Tophotel presented Meiko with the Gold Tophotel StarAward in the "Innovation" category for its M-iQ GreenEye Technology and a Silver StarAward in the "Nonfood" category for its M-iClean range of undercounter dishwashers.

Meiko emphasised that these awards also recognise its market partners and customers who fuel the company's creative innovations with their input and feedback. Klaus Engesser, who heads up sales and marketing at the Meiko Group, summed up his thoughts as he accepted the two Tophotel StarAwards: “The top priority for Meiko is to identify, understand and address the needs of its customers while offering outstanding service and fair partnerships. We see our job in the industry as providing our users with all-inclusive "worry-free" packages of products and services."

Michael Mayer, who heads up Meiko dishwashing technology sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, was delighted to see the company take first place in the dishwashing technology category of the “Best of Market” award. Readers rated the supplier industry on value for money, quality and service. Meiko took the top spot thanks to the exceptionally high quality of its products, as Mayer explains: "It means a lot to us to know that the people who read about and use our dishwashing technology decided to vote for us. We think it shows that we offer products and solutions that meet our customers' needs. We're proud to have taken the number one spot!"

With over 2,150 employees, the value-driven, Offenburg-based company runs a global business dedicated to supplying clean and customer-oriented solutions. Klaus Engesser explained why the awards are so important: "We see the awards as an acknowledgement that our product and corporate strategies are on the right track. To regularly feature among the award-winners you need to show tremendous innovation. Meiko is a company that has proved its innovative capabilities time and again – and we're looking forward to releasing even more new products this year, too." www.meiko.de
