1. ENGINEERING DESIGN

 Facilities available Computer Aided Design Lab: Software: Pro/Engineer Wildfire 5, IDEAS (Master Series), CATIA V5R13 Mechanical Desktop 6.0, AutoCAD 2013, ANSYS 12, LABVIEW and ADAMS

Vibration Laboratory: Electro Dynamic Shaker (50 kgf) Impact Hammer Data Acquisition System (Sine & Random Vibrations) supported with RT Pro application software Accelerometers – Uniaxial - 2 nos and Triaxial - 2 nos ME scope VES software Reciprocating Tribometer

 Ongoing research activities Modal analysis of composite structures Vibration characteristics of composite structures Measurement of friction and wear of engineering materials

Consultancy work of vibration characteristics of automotive components 2. THERMAL ENGINEERING

 Facilities available Single cylinder engine with AVL software, Data acquisition system and measurement system Multi cylinder engine with eddy current dynamometer Emission test facilities Bio-diesel plant

 Ongoing research activities Many consultancy projects are being done by using these facilities

New AVL software with complete package is to be purchased and used for research project sanctioned by AICTE under MODROBS

Foundry laboratory Compression Moulding Machine (25 Tonnes)-FRP cell 1000C Electric furnace Crucible furnace Foundry tools and equipments Special machine shop CNC Lathe of LAL make Medium and light duty lathes Milling and Hobbing machines, Dynamometers for drilling, turning and milling, Surf Test to measure surface roughness Tool makers microscope to measure the tool wear Metallurgy laboratory Metallurgical microscopes
