Summer Solstice Supply List

 Pattern: Summer Solstice by Judy Niemeyer  Fabric yardage as listed on back of pattern or purchase of kit  12" add a quarter ruler  Bohin glue stick  Jumbo paper clips  4 zip lock gallon size bags  Rotary cutter  Basic Sewing supplies  Sewing machine  Purple Thang  Flower Head Pins

The only thing I would like you to do before class are these:

1. Label the 4 bags: Bag #1, Bag #2, Bag #3, and Bag #4. 2. Prepare the fabric swatch sheet with snippets of your fabric to the correct number. 3. Pre-cut the following: Color #10. Cut (2) 17" x wof. Open and re-stack the strips right side up. Subcut (4) 10 1/2" x 17" rectangles from each strip for a total of 8 pieces. Paper clip together - place in Bag 2. Color #11. Cut (2) 5" x wof. Open and re-stack the strips right side up. Subcut (4) 5" x 7 1/2" rectangles from each strip for a total of 8 pieces. Paper clip together - place in Bag 3. Color #12. Cut (2) 9 1/2" x wof. Open and re-stack the strips right side up. Subcut (4) 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" rectangles from each strip for a total of 8 pieces. Paper clip together - place in Bag 2. Color #13. Cut (2) 5" x wof. Open and re-stack the strips right side up. Subcut (16) 1 1/2" x 5" rectangles from each strip for a total of 32 pieces. Paper clip together - Place in Bag 3.

This pre-cutting is just traditional rotary cutting. Please don't do anything else before class as I want to teach you the Judy Niemeyer technique.
