Self-Sufficiency Manager Help break the cycle of poverty for low income, single parent, formerly homeless families. We are looking for a thoughtful, hardworking, and outcomes-driven leader with a passion for making a difference, who craves variety and intensity, and who values education and accountability. Under the general direction and in collaboration with the Deputy Director, the Self-Sufficiency Manager supervises and directs 3 Self- Sufficiency Coaches to ensure that programmatic services are provided to families in accordance with agency policy and organizational values.
At ACHIEVEability, participants are pursuing college degrees to achieve long-term, sustainable self- sufficiency for themselves and their families. Our participants are required to work to maintain their expenses and to gain experience for their future careers. We are an award-winning organization with a comprehensive array of services to help families succeed and help neighborhoods thrive.
Key responsibilities include the following: Provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering environment to participants and staff. Provides guidance, direction and supervision to 3 Self-Sufficiency Coaches in the completion of duties. Manage a case load of 7 – 10 families. Work collaboratively with agency staff and community agencies to facilitate the delivery of services. Network and build relationships with community partners and stakeholders. Participate in management team meetings and make collaborative decisions regarding workload and fiscal management. Manage departmental reports, compliance documentation and database. Program development including: working on special projects to benefit participants, the program, and the agency, assessing the need for additional participant resources and services, and submitting ideas for program improvements.
Minimum Qualifications: A master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 3 years providing case management or community services to vulnerable children, individuals or families in a public or private social service agency. Supervisory experienced preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – writing, speaking, presentation Strong sense of responsibility, initiative and follow through Valid driver’s license, registered vehicle available for use at work and auto insurance Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends. Comfortable working in West Philadelphia
