The Meaning of a Life: Michelle Kennedy’s Living Obituary

Michelle Kennedy’s life has been fulfilled with many different experiences and challenges. Being a senior at Purdue University, from Rensselaer, Indiana, she has achieved exceptional grades along with having many cultural and work experiences. She hopes that people notice her for her personality, humor, and friendliness. Along with all these qualities she has filled her life with achieving her goals, volunteering, helping others, cooking, and traveling.

Michelle has set many goals for herself throughout her life but her professional dream is to become a professional florist and own her own store. Currently, she has made strides to be able to accomplish this goal. She has taken classes in floral arranging and has been certified as a florist. This love of flowers has motivated her to start to take steps to achieve her ambition.

Another major goal for her is to be successful in whatever she does, and with her personality and talents she will be triumphant.

A variety of activities interest Michelle and are incorporated into her life, these include cooking, volunteering, and traveling. A passion for cooking and baking makes this one of her many hobbies and she often watches the food network to get new ideas. Along with her love of cooking she loves sushi and pizza. Michelle is an advocate of volunteering and helping others.

She aided students through helping train 4-H officers, helping victims of Hurricane Katrina, and being a peer mentor. Not only does this display her compassion but helps show that she is a remarkable person that values helping others. She traveled to the Middle East to Dubai and

Oman for a study abroad program. With her experience in Dubai and Oman, she helped introduce other students to the study abroad program to get them interested. She had the ability to study international marketing and management. Also, she was able to learn business concepts in a multi-cultural setting during this valuable trip. Again, her experiences helped round her into a cultured, unique individual.

Even though Michelle is a diverse individual, she is not an extreme risk taker but she considers traveling to the Middle East to be one of her more risky decisions. She was able to experience new cultures and adventures. Another risk she has taken was jumping off a bridge into water, which she describes as something she would not normally do.

She is currently studying Retail Management and will be graduating in May. Her plans for her future include moving to Indianapolis to be in the same city as her fiancé. Their wedding will be in June. This will be a new chapter in her life but will include many of the components that she values.

To say that Michelle has an ordinary life is an understatement. She is a fun loving individual that has had many extraordinary experiences that have rounded her into a wonderful woman. The essence of her life is composed of caring, volunteering, cooking, and obtaining her goals.
