Students will be able to create a PowerPoint presentation summarizing information about a famous designer as well as showing and explaining multiple examples of the designer’s work.
Famous Designer Presentation Guidelines
INFORMATION All of the bulleted information must be covered in your presentation. Student’s full name, date, and block Full name of designer Date and place of birth or origination if you are citing a firm. How influenced-by circumstances and/or others in field of design Awards, fellowships, grants, accomplishments/contributions, notices Typical subject matter of the designer’s focus Typical style of work What they said/say about their own work (quotes OK) What others have said about the work A succinct explanation of your opinion of the designer’s work
PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS Create a layout, design, background, and choose a font for your presentation (DO NOT USE A TEMPLATE!!). Every slide should have relevant information and/or an image that students verbally explain. Information and imagery should be presented chronologically if possible. Between 8-10 photographic examples of the designer’s work must be in the presentation. The final presentation should include all the above information within 18-25 slides. Final presentations will be shared through Google Drive. You will be presenting your designer’s profile to the class. Presentation should last 5 minutes.
CREDITING YOUR SOURCES Create an informal bibliography at the conclusion of your presentation with the links to the information used and the photos used. BE CREATIVE!!
