NEWMARK MERRILL MOUNTAIN STATES ANNOUNCES NEW WYATT’S WINE & SPIRITS, THE MELT AND SPORTS AUTHORITY STORES TO JOIN VILLAGE AT THE PEAKS

-Latest Retailer Announcements Bring Leasing Pipeline to Nearly 77% at Village at the Peaks-

LONGMONT, Colo. – August 20, 2014 – NewMark Merrill Mountain States announced today that Wyatt’s Wine & Spirits, Sports Authority and The Melt will join the tenant lineup at the new Village at the Peaks in Longmont.

Village at the Peaks, set to open fall 2015, is being developed by NewMark Merrill Mountain States on the site of the former Twin Peaks Mall in Longmont. Wyatt’s, Sports Authority and The Melt join merchant’s Sam’s Club, Regal Cinema with Premium Experience, Whole Foods Market, Gold’s Gym, Parry’s Pizza, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Verizon Wireless and Pacific Dental.

This announcement brings the total number of retailers signed to 11 and total leased space to 333,350 square feet, with another 43,520 square feet of space currently under negotiation.

Recently announced tenants include The Melt, a popular West Coast eatery that is opening one of its first Colorado locations at Village at the Peaks, and Wyatt’s Wine & Spirits, a 24,000 square foot high- quality wine and spirits store. “Wyatt’s is a perfect complement to Whole Foods, because at almost twice the size of any existing wine merchant in Boulder County, they bring an unparalleled depth of assortment to attract customers from the entire region to the project,” said Allen Ginsborg, Managing Director and Principal of NewMark Merrill Mountain States.

NewMark Merrill purchased the property in early 2012 and has been working with the City of Longmont in a public-private partnership to reinvent this well-situated property as a vibrant, modern retail environment located less than 10 minutes from Boulder’s high-tech employment corridor.

When it opens in fall 2015, the formerly enclosed mall will be transformed into an all-new, 480,000 square-foot retail destination that will showcase the exceptional mountain views of Longs Peaks to create a unique place to gather in this thriving Northern Colorado community in Boulder County. This open-air retail destination will offer unique shopping experiences, top-notch restaurants and state-of- the-art entertainment. The project will eventually represent more than $85 million dollars in total investment and generate more than 300 full-time jobs.
