TRUMPET AUDITIONS - REPERTOIRE - JURIES
AUDITIONS
An audition is required for admittance to all degree programs in the Department of Music. Department admission auditions take place in February, March, and November. If there are circumstances that prevent your attendance at the department auditions, you may contact the Area Director to schedule an individual appointment.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for admission on trumpet should be prepared to perform one or more selections from the standard repertoire that reflect both lyrical and technical proficiency.
Representative material may include: Haydn, Hummel, Kennan, Barat-Fantasie in mibernoll, Goedicke-Concert Etude, or selections of like difficulty.
Auditions will take place before the Area Director and appropriate faculty members of the Department of Music.

JURIES
Following each semester of required private study; the student must pass a performance examination before a jury composed of the studio instructor and Department of Music faculty members.
JURY REQUIREMENTS
Performance Option: solo piece with accompaniment, orchestral excerpts, and scales and arpeggios.
Non-performance Option: solo piece with accompaniment and scales and arpeggios.
