*This course is required for all 8th graded students.

*Students will earn high school credit for completion of this course (this satisfies the high school credit requirement for graduation).

*Students who successfully complete the course will become knowledgeable in general health education subjects. Areas of instruction include;

- Communication skills Stress Management - Self-esteem Conflict Resolution - Goal setting Decision Making - Suicide Prevention Abstinence - Reproduction Anatomy/Physiology

*All 8th grade students will be given the opportunity to be certified in CPR.

*Students earn credit in this course by successfully completing work through an internet-based program called “Brainhoney.”

*Work can be completed using any computer that has Internet Access (including home/personal computers).

*Students are encouraged to use a flash drive to transfer work if they intend on working from home.

**Each student will be assigned a username and password the first week of school
