The School Board of the Parish of Lafayette, State of Louisiana, met in regular session at its meeting place, the Lafayette Parish School Board Administrative Building, Board Room, Lafayette, Louisiana, on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 5:30 P.M. pursuant to notice given in writing to every member.

3. ACT I - Salary Schedule Implementation Bruce Leininger, Director of Human Resources presented the ACT I - Salary Schedule matrix to the Board.

After some discussion, Board President Beasley asked that it be brought to the September 11, 2014 budget meeting.

Motion (Cockerham, Awbrey) that the Board ratify the resignations and retirements of employees.

Voting for were Angelle, Awbrey, Babineaux, Beasley, Bouillion, Cobb, and Cockerham. Voting against was Trahan. Chassion abstained. Motion carried.

6. Establishment of Board Policy related to Supervision of the Superintendent Cockerham pulled this item from the agenda and asked that it be brought back at the next Regular Board meeting.

7. Compliance with ACT 570 of 2014 Legislative Session Motion (Cockerham, Cobb) that the Board approve the Hearing Procedure and Disciplinary Hearing Officer Pool to put LPSS in compliance with ACT 570. Motion carried.

VIII. EXECUTIVE SESSION 1. Special Counsel Charges (Potential Executive Session) Board President Beasley informed the Board that due to inclement weather, the Special Counsel was unable to be in attendance; therefore, there would be no Executive Session.
