North Dakota Trapshooting Association Membership 2005 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 8:40 AM, 7/24/2005 by President Louis Kuster at the Capitol City Gun Club, Bismarck ND. 2004 meeting minutes were read by Sec/Treasure Marc Cunningham, Mike Kempel motioned that the minutes be excepted, Duane Reister 2nd and motion carried. Marc then gave a treasury report, reporting a Check book balance of $6,591.48 and Piper Jaffray account balance of $8,706.14. Also reported that the checking balance includes $390 memorial fund and $153 in the Girard fund. Scott Phelps motioned the treasury report be approved, Jim Schumacher 2nd, motion carried. ATA Delegate Jeff Wagner was then called for a Delegate’s report, Jeff congratulated successful shooters at the State Shoot and then gave an update of 2005 Grand American requirements and progress at the new Sparta location. There was no old business discussed. New Business:  2005 State Shoot Location, a letter of request from The shooting Park of Fargo to host the 2006 State Shoot. Chet Nelson motioned that the 2006 State Shoot be held at the Shooting Park, Bill Suda 2nd, motion carried.  Election of NDTA Board of Directors and ATA Delegates – the following nominees were submitted: Jim Schumacher – SE Dave Molstre – SE Bill Suda – NE Bob Ralston – NW Jeff Wagner – ATA Delegate Marc Cunningham – Alternate Mike Kempel – Second Alternate President Kuster ask for nominations from the floor and there were none, Duane Reister then motioned that by unanimous ballet that all nominees be elected to serve, Lyle Glessing 2nd and motion carried. Discussions/ other:  It was brought to the membership’s attention that Minnesota and South Dakota would be moving their State Shoot dates ahead one week.  Richard Johnson presented Bill Suda with a special trophy for breaking 225 straight and still losing.  Mike Kempel brought to the membership’s attention the criteria used by other States for Hall of Fame selection, Chet Nelson made a motion that the NDTA board review the current criteria at the Fall Board Meeting, Don Boehmer 2nd and motion carried.  Radar guns and location of NDTA radar guns used for trap setting.  Web site usage and maintenance was discussed, Marc Cunningham made a motion that the board review the web site situation at the fall meeting, Rod Gilmore 2nd and motion carried.
