WWKX - HOT 106 SUPPORTS HASBRO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL WITH CELEBRITY BASKETBALL GAME

East Providence, RI – “Hot 106, #1 for Hip-Hop and R&B” is proud to announce the hottest basketball event to ever hit Providence… Hot 106’s Celebrity Basketball Game 2009! The Hot 106 All Stars VS. The Providence Recreation League All Stars will be playing to raise money for Hasbro Children’s Hospital! The event will feature appearances by music superstars Soulja Boy, Fabolous, The GS Boyz and Drake. Plus, Attorney General Patrick Lynch will be playing in the game. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 29th from 5-7PM at The John Hope Settlement House in Providence. Hot 106 listeners are encouraged to bring their families to the event. There will be a $10 donation per person for Hasbro Children’s Hospital required at the door. Highlights of the event will include the half time contest with Soulja Boy, whom attendees will know from his number one song “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” and current hit single “Kiss Me Thru The Phone”, a free throw contest with Hip-Hop superstar Fabolous who will also be commentating the game with Hot 106’s Deanna Cruz, and a performance from The GS Boyz who will be getting the crowd into their dance craze “The Stanky Leg”.

Rhode Island Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch, who is playing on the Hot 106 All Star Team, said, “What could be better than an evening in which superstars of music and All Stars of basketball join to raise money for a shining star of our community, Hasbro Children’s Hospital? I’m looking forward to playing hoops tomorrow night and thank HOT 106 for its outstanding commitment to our kids in its support of Hasbro.”
