 Has presented a paper entitled on Bangladeshi women in Indian Prisons, in a UGC Sponsored National Seminar on "Gender As Perspective: Reflections On Different Disciplines", organized by Sivanath Sastri College, Kolkata, on 19th December, 2016.

 Has presented a paper entitled ‘Migrants, Citizens and the Look east Policy in Northeast India’ in ‘Young Social Scientist Meet, 2016’ organized by Omeo Kumar Das Institute of Social Change and Development (Research Institute of ICSSR, New Delhi, and Government of Assam, India) on 15-16 December 2016 in Guwahati, Assam.

 Has presented a paper jointly as plenary speaker, entitled Refugee Politics in West Bengal during the 50s in an ‘International Seminar on Social Stratification and Political Transformation: Rethinking Indian Democracy’, organized by Department of Political Science, Bankura University, West Bengal, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, from 10-11 November 2016.

 Has presented a paper entitled ‘Borders, Mobility and Migration: the North East India’ as part of a workshop organized by Calcutta Research Group with support from the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (RLS) from 30-31 August 2016 at Swabhumy, Kolkata.

 Has presented a paper entitled ‘Refugee Movement: Another Aspect of Popular Movements in West Bengal in the 1950s’ in a workshop organized by Calcutta Research Group and Women Studies Department, Jadavpur University, on 20 September 2016 at Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

 Has been part of a round table discussion on ‘Women, Peace and Security’ organized by US Consulate General, Kolkata, in collaboration with Banglanatok dot com on December 15, 2015, at the Lincoln Room of the American Center, Kolkata. She spoke on the role of women in countering violent extremism. She started by defining the terms “violence” and “violent extremism” and the space where it is located, starting from family, society, to community or the State. There is a need to identify the root causes of violence on women in various levels and contexts as well as importance of networking agencies to attempt any solution. Cross Border networking, especially in India’s Northeast linking countries like Myanmar and Thailand should also be taken into consideration to check cross border violence, smuggling of goods and trafficking of humans.

 Has participated and presented a paper on Globalization and Migration: the unique case of the Rohingyas in a Course on ‘Globalization, Crisis and Public Policy’ from 23-29 November 2015 organized by the Rabindra Bharati University and CRG at Rabindra Bhaban, Saltlake, Kolkata.

 Has presented a draft paper on ‘Maritime Ping pong? : The Rohingyas in Boat’ in an ICSSR sponsored National Seminar on ‘Gender, Identity and Migration in India’, organized by the Political Science Department, University of Delhi, 7-8 August 2015. This paper was later revised and presented at a workshop on ‘Rohingyas in India: Birth of a Stateless Community’, organized by CRG at Hotel Cedar Inn, Darjeeling from 13- 14 August 2015.
