FREE Regional Workshop in Broward County Asperger Syndrome: Learning Strategies from Beginning to End Presented By: Ketty Patiño González, Ph.D., Diane Adreon, M.A., & Jennifer Durocher, Ph.D.

This training is for educators and parents interested in information about Asperger Syndrome, common learning problems associated with Asperger Syndrome, and school and home based interventions. Issues related to the impact of executive functioning and learning will be discussed. In addition, a panel discussion will be held at the end with all of the presenters.

Presentation Titles: “Common Learning Problems in Autism and How to Solve Them” – Ketty Patiño González, Ph.D. “Building Skills for Real Life” – Diane Adreon, M.A. “Starting, Organizing, and Finishing Tasks: The Importance of Executive Functions” – Jennifer Durocher, Ph.D.

Nova Southeastern University is approved by the Continuing Education Board of the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to provide continuing education activities in speech-language pathology and audiology. This program is offered for 0.6 CEUs (Intermediate level; Professional area).
