Dear NJSAMS Users, This Release Content Letter (RCL) announces the enhancements and maintenance fixes in NJSAMS 3.4.2 release. The highlight of the release is enhancements in DSM-5, LOCI-3, IME’s fiscal authorization module and three additional statuses for client’s in extension mode.

DSM-5

1. Added “Self Care (ADLs/Hygiene)” impairment in current Functional Impairment under DSM-5 module and completing this section is mandatory. 2. Added a new option "At Risk" in Diagnosis dropdown under Diagnostic Summary. “At Risk” will be shown in dropdown only if the client has symptoms but not diagnosed for any of the disorder. 3. Allow entering comments in Co-occurring Disorder section of DSM-5 text box by a non-co-occurring credential clinician/counselor.

LOCI-3 and Extension Request LOCI (ERL)

1. COWS, CIWA and BP are moved to a separate accordion (“COWS/CIWA/BP”) such that both Regular/Adult and OTP LOCI evaluations can enter data. Currently this information is being entered only in Regular/Adult LOCI. 2. Added Counselor Phone/Extension and/or email in LOCI’s first accordion ‘Counselor information’. 3. Added ‘use of medication’ in client’s LOCI report which is entered in admission section. 4. Clients with “at risk” in DSM-5 can continue LOCI for limited level of care to choose for 0.5 Early Intervention but can’t be admitted 5. Functional Impairment added in Extension Request LOCI (ERL) under LOCI Extension accordion and they are required fields. 6. Added export to pdf/excel functionality in ERL module. 7. Added three additional statuses for client’s in extension mode as below  Admitted – Subsequent Clinical Approval Pending (ERL)  Admitted – Subsequent Clinical Request Approved (ERL)  Admitted – Subsequent Clinical Request Denied (ERL)

Enhancement for IME

1. IME’s fiscal authorization module: IME can “Approve” or “Unassign” a funding source after clinical request is approved. 2. Ability to review historic clinical request’s DSM-5 and LOCI-3 reports 3. Ability to “Deactive” a Medicaid authorization. 4. Medicaid Authorization button for Admin authorizations is no longer available, all Medicaid authorizations must be issued after clinical request approval. 5. A new button “Authorizaiton” is available on left navigation which allows to see all Medicaid and Fee for Service authorizations issued for a selected client.

 Issue with Date of Interview (defaulting to 1/1/1900) has been resolved.  Issue with the ticket counter in Ticket Management System (TMS) has been resolved.  Change Funding Source: below validation will be in affect from this release o New funding source start date cannot be entered beyond 30 day future date, o Previous funding source end date cannot be before admission date o Previous and new funding source dates cannot be overlapped.  Updated Medicaid options o Added two new options (‘ABP’ and ‘Other’) o Removed ‘Plan G’ and ‘Plan Z’
