Job Title: Community Fundraiser - Collections

Summary of Role:
To raise funds for, and awareness of, The Myton Hospices throughout Coventry and Warwickshire by managing and growing the number of money collections we hold.
We are looking for a fundraising professional who has an excellent understanding of relationship management, customer service and who has the drive and enthusiasm necessary to help grow this area of community fundraising.

Key Responsibilities: 1. To achieve monthly income and activity targets as agreed with the Community Fundraising Manager 2. To liaise with local businesses, organisations and community groups to raise fundraising income and promote The Myton Hospices 3. To be responsible for managing the distribution and collection of fundraising collection tins, money-spinners and other promotional material
4. Work closely with volunteers to ensure the timely management of emptying / collecting existing tins and placement of new ones
5. Seek out new business opportunities for further placement of tins and organise a calendar of store collections throughout the Coventry & Warwickshire area 6. Attend fundraising events as and when required as a representative of The Myton Hospices – including some unsociable hours 7. To work with the Volunteer Co-ordinator in arranging supermarket, event and street collections 8. To maintain and update the fundraising database, Donor flex 9. To process correspondence and other documentation as necessary 10. To build effective relationships with supporters to maximise the income generated for The Myton Hospices as well as ensure a great supporter experience 11. Assist generally within the department on a flexible basis as directed by the Community Fundraising Manager or Head of Income Generation 12. Any other duties commensurate with the post Responsibilities of all employees:
1. To operate at all times within the Myton values. 2. To work constructively with colleagues and stakeholders at all times. 3. To act as an ambassador for Myton at all times 4. To maintain confidentiality at all times. 5. To participate in annual Appraisal and attend any training identified. 6. To attend all mandatory training, e.g. fire training, moving and handling etc. 7. To abide by the Policies and Procedures of The Myton Hospices.
