Introduction

The Cay is a realistic fiction story set in the Caribbean in the midst of World War ll. To familiarize yourself with the location of the different places that are mentioned in this book, you will visit various internet sites to help you correctly label your own map of the Caribbean and Curacao.

The Task

Visit web sites and use an atlas in order to label and color your maps of the Caribbean and Curacao correctly.

The Process: Exploring the Web, Creating a Product

1. Visit the following Web sites to gather the information needed to complete the maps:

o Create a map of the Caribbean:

1. Label the following features correctly

. -COUNTRIES: Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire, Venezuela, Panama, . -ISLANDS: St Thomas, San Andres, Grand Cayman, Roncador, Rosalind, Jamaica, Serranno, Beacon Cay, North Cay, Providencia, Quinto Sueno, Grenadine, Honduras, Cape Verde Islands, Antigua, Devil's Mouth . -FEATURES: Caribbean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, . -CITIES: Willemstad, Curacao

2. Make a title, a legend, and compass points

3. Neatly color your map using standard map colors for water, land, etc.
