pm Mrs. Howard, one of our first grade teachers, has been chosen as Teacher of the Year for Tesoro del Valle Elementary. We will be honoring her at the SCV Teacher Tribute at College of the Canyons on Thursday night and at the SUSD Board Meeting next Tuesday night. Mrs. Howard is an outstanding teacher. She works collaboratively with Upcomi her grade level providing an exceptional education for her ng Events first grade students. She also supports the students and staff through her leadership role as Primary Learning Specialist. We believe school lunch should not only be nutritious, it should be FUN for Kids!!

Beginning on April 27, 2016, and one pre-selected day each month, we will be recognizing all of the student's celebrating their birthdays. In celebration, each school cafeteria will have a party- like flair and all student's participating in the National School Lunch Program will receive a colorful "Happy Birthday Cookie" with their meal. HELP THE CHILDREN - FOOD BANK The food bank is currently in need of the following items:

Canned Fruit, Cereal, Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Canned Meats/Pasta, Chili/Stew, Jelly, Tuna, Broth, Spaghetti Sauce, Side Dishes, 1lb Rice, 1lb Dry Beans, 1lb Flour, Canned Beans, Tomato Products, Canned Vegetables, Juice Boxes, Mac and Cheese, Ramen Noodles.

They always need Personal Hygiene and Baby Items such as:

Soap, Shampoo, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Diapers, Baby Wipes and Deodorant. EASY EVERYDAY WAYS TO EARN MONEY FOR EDUCATION

Ralph's Community Contribution Program New this year - we have a scan bar letter that you can print out and take to Ralph's on your next shopping trip. Just present the letter along with your Ralph's club card or phone number, and Tesoro will start earning money every time you shop! The scan bar letter eliminates having to go online to register.

ESCRIP Program ESCRIP: Tesoro PTA promotes the Escrip program. This is a great way for Tesoro to earn more money, and a lot of the other schools have had great success. You can go online and register. Our PTA code is 500016673. Register your Vons/Pavilions cards and earn rewards for the school. Also they have an online mall which has even better rewards! So start your online shopping at Escrip!

Here's How it Works You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program. Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen group based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered. Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child's behalf!
