Comanche Independent School District Student Information Packet -- Behavior Adjustment Class

The Behavior Adjustment Class (BAC) is designed to provide students with an opportunity to improve their behavior in the school setting. Your parents, teachers, principal and counselor will assist you in developing behavior goals. You will then receive increased privileges as you demonstrate improvement in these areas.

The BAC is set up in Steps. You will receive more privileges and attend classes outside of the BAC as you move through the Steps. A copy of your Step system and what you have to do to move to the next step will be posted for you to easily see.

One part of managing behavior in the educational setting is appropriately dealing with leisure time. This means: doing work before leisure, choosing appropriate "free time" activities and getting along with and respecting others during free time. Sometime during the next few days, you will be asked to complete a checklist indicating which activities you enjoy participating in. You will also be expected to learn the rules of the classroom and to learn the social rules required for group activities. You may be assigned "behavior learning packets" to help you learn these skills.
