CAVE SPRING CITY COUNCIL CALLED MEETING/WORK SESSION OCTOBER 14, 2013 9:00 A.M.

ATTENDANCE Mayor Rob Ware and Councilmembers Mary Littlejohn, Nellie McCain and Peggy Allgood were present. Robin Clements and Ken Landers were absent.

CALL TO ORDER Mayor Ware called the meeting to order.

APPROVAL OF MOTION: Peggy Allgood made a motion to approve the minutes from September 10 PAST MINUTES and October 3, 2013. Mary Littlejohn seconded the motion. All voted yes.

ADJUSTMENTS MOTION: Peggy Allgood made a motion to approve City leaks and requests from customers with leak insurance. Mary Littlejohn seconded the motion. All voted yes. MOTION: Mary Littlejohn made a motion to adjust miscellaneous adjustments. Peggy Allgood seconded the motion. All voted yes. MOTION: Mary Littlejohn made a motion to approve disputed bills. Peggy Allgood seconded the motion. All voted yes. *No other action taken on any other requests.

MOTION TO MOTION: Nellie McCain made a motion to pay bills. Mary Littlejohn seconded the PAY BILLS motion. All voted yes.

WATERSHED MOTION: Mary Littlejohn made a motion to pay the invoice, not to exceed $1,500, to PROTECTION PLAN the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission. Peggy Allgood seconded the motion. All voted yes.

BANK ACCOUNT MOTION: Nellie McCain made a motion to transfer $100,000 from the general fund to a TRANSFER six month CD. Mary Littlejohn seconded the motion. All voted yes.

AUCTION MOTION: Nellie McCain made a motion to authorize Mayor Ware to sign an agreement CONSIGNMENT with Midway Machinery and Auction, LLC for sale of the surplus police interceptor AGREEMENT and trailer. Peggy Allgood seconded the motion. All voted yes.

REQUEST FOR MOTION: Nellie McCain made a motion to allow Live Oak Baptist Church to use the USE OF THE Community Center at a rate of $75 for a community dinner to be held on December 21st. COMMUNITY Peggy Allgood seconded the motion. All voted yes. CENTER

TIRES FOR MOTION: Mary Littlejohn made a motion to purchase tires for the police interceptor, POLICE not to exceed $450, from Adam Zuker state bid price. Peggy Allgood seconded the INTERCEPTOR motion. All voted yes.

PEGGY ALLGOOD Peggy Allgood stated that a citizen told her that the gates to the water towers on the hill REQUEST TO have been open. Trucks, which are not recognizable as City of Cave Spring trucks, have ADDRESS COUNCIL been seen going inside the gate. She informed the citizen to call the City office if the gate is open and to call 911 if unidentified trucks are entering. REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 14, 2013 PAGE 2 CONTINUED
