PERFORMANCE SERIES 600 TVL DAY/NIGHT INDOOR/OUTDOOR VANDAL DOME IR CAMERA, HD70P

PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SECTION INCLUDES

1.A. Provide a 600 TVL day/night, indoor and outdoor, vandal-resistant, fixed, color dome IR camera system for video surveillance, including design, supply, installation, and commissioning.

1.4 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

4.A. The Performance Series day/night vandal, fixed, color dome IR camera shall use a vandal- resistant enclosure that is IP66 rated for outdoor installations but can also be installed indoors, mounted directly to a ceiling or wall.

4.B. The camera shall have a 1/3” interline transfer CCD imager for 600 TV lines super high resolution. 24 integrated LEDs and a built-in, fixed, IR corrected lens to provide day/night operation. The camera runs on 12 V DC power input.

1.5 SUBMITTALS

5.A. General: Submittals shall be made in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract and Submittal Procedures Section.

5.B. Manufacturer’s Product Data: Submit manufacturer’s data sheets indicating systems and components proposed for use, including instruction manuals.

5.C. Shop Drawings: Submit complete shop drawings including connection diagrams for interfacing equipment, list of connected equipment, and locations for major equipment components.

Record Drawings: During construction maintain record drawings indicating location of equipment and wiring. Submit an electronic version of record drawings not later than Substantial Completion of the project.

5.E. Operation and Maintenance Data: Submit manufacturer’s operation and maintenance data, customized to the system installed. Include system and operator manuals.

5.F. Field Tests: Submit results of field testing of every device including date, testing personnel, retesting date if applicable, and confirmation that every device passed field testing.

5.G. Maintenance Service Agreement: Submit a sample copy of the manufacturer’s maintenance service agreement, including cost and services for a one year period for Owner’s review. Maintenance shall include, but not be limited to, labor and materials to repair the system, provide test and adjustments, and regular inspections.

1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCE

6.A. Manufacturer: Minimum ten years experience in manufacturing and maintaining video management systems. Manufacturer shall provide toll-free technical assistance and support available 24/7.

6.B. Manufacturing Location: Provide equipment assembled in China.

6.C. Installer: Minimum two years experience installing similar systems, and acceptable to the manufacturer of the video surveillance system.

6.D. Regulatory Requirements:

6.D.2. Immunity: CE (EN50130-4)

6.D.3. Safety: EU: EN 60950

6.E. Environmental Conditions: Camera shall be designed to function in the following environmental conditions:

Deliver materials in manufacturer’s labeled packages. Store and handle in accordance with manufacturer’s requirements, in a facility with environmental conditions within recommended limits.

1.8 WARRANTY

8.A. Manufacturer’s Warranty: Submit manufacturer’s standard three-year warranty from the manufacturer’s date code under normal use and service for the video surveillance system.

3.B. The vandal dome camera shall incorporate auto white balance to constantly monitor the light and adjust the color as needed. User-selectable white balance options: Auto Tracking White Balance (ATW), Manual, Push.

3.C. The vandal dome camera shall provide user-selectable digital noise reduction options: Low, Middle, High, Off.

3.D. The vandal dome camera shall provide user-selectable super black light compensation options: Low, Middle, High, Off.

3.E. The vandal dome camera shall provide user-selectable day/night options: IRED, Color, B/W.

3.F. The vandal dome camera shall provide an electronic shutter and selectable automatic gain control (AGC) for operation in a wide range of lighting conditions.

3.G. The vandal dome camera shall provide day/night functionality with 24 integrated, 850 nm LEDs.

3.H. The vandal dome camera shall use smart infrared technology that allows auto LED brightness adjustment to evenly distribute the IR and prevent excessive illumination.

3.I. The vandal dome camera shall provide fully configurable motion detection settings and four motion detection areas.

3.J. The vandal dome camera shall provide privacy zone and mirror function.

3.K. The vandal dome camera shall have a 3-D axis (pan/tilt/rotation) gimbal for precise camera positioning.

3.L. The vandal dome camera shall have a lens boot that optically isolates the lens from the LEDs to eliminate internal IR glare.

3.M. The vandal dome camera shall provide 12 V DC operation.

3.N. The vandal dome camera shall have a built-in breather vent to stop humidity buildup.

3.O. The vandal dome camera shall have a single piece design that integrates the camera and lens into one unit for easy installation. The physical camera options, including housing and dome, shall have the following major capabilities:

3.O.1. Housing: The vandal dome camera shall be available in a die cast aluminum housing and polycarbonate dome, with a light gray powder coating finish.

3.O.3. Connectors: The vandal dome camera shall come standard with a two- conductor pigtail that connects to the barrel connector and a 2.1 mm plug power input for video adjustment and focus.

3.O.4. The vandal dome camera shall be IP66 rated for outdoor installations.

2.5 MANUFACTURER SUPPORT

Manufacturer shall provide customer service, pre-sales applications assistance, after-sales technical assistance, access to technical online support, and online training using Web conferencing.

5.B. Manufacturer shall provide 24/7 technical assistance and support by means of a toll-free telephone number at no extra charge.

PART 3 EXECUTION

3.1 EXAMINATION

1.A. Examine site conditions prior to installation. Notify Architect and Owner in writing if unsuitable conditions are encountered. Do not start installation until site conditions are acceptable.

3.2 INSTALLATION

2.A. All components of the camera system shall be thoroughly tested before shipping from the manufacturer’s facility.

2.B. The camera system shall be installed, programmed and tested in accordance with manufacturer’s installation instructions.

2.B.1. Coordinate interfaces with Owner’s representative where appropriate.

2.B.2. Provide cable and wire for a complete and reliable installation. Obtain Owner’s approval for exact location of the camera and all conduit, and wiring runs prior to installation.

2.B.3. Install conduit, cable, and wire parallel and square with building lines, including raised floors areas. Do not exceed 40 percent fill in conduits. Gather wires and tie to create an orderly installation.

2.B.4. Coordinate with other trades to provide proper sequencing of installation.

3.3 FIELD COMMISSIONING AND CERTIFICATION

3.A. Field Commissioning: Test camera system as recommended by manufacturer, including the following:

3.A.2. Test devices and demonstrate operational features for Owner’s representative and authorities having jurisdiction as applicable.

3.A.3. Correct deficiencies until satisfactory results are obtained.

3.A.4. Submit written copies of test results.

3.4 TRAINING

4.A. Conduct on-site system administrator and security/surveillance operator training, with the number of sessions and length of sessions as recommended by the video surveillance system manufacturer. Training shall include, but not be limited to, administration, provisioning, configuration, operation and diagnostics.
