Dear Kindergartener and Parents,
We can’t wait to meet you! We will have many happy times together next year. You will learn so much. You will learn your colors, shapes, numbers, letters and phonograms – plus, you will even learn to read! You will memorize all 50 states and capitals and all 44 presidents. Jesus will be our helper as we work together! We have put some writing activities together with this note, so you can be practicing your numbers and letters. Try to do your very best work and bring it to school on the first day. Parents please work with your children this summer. Work on strokes such as straight lines, curves and circles. Play games with your child to introduce the sounds of the alphabet such as “I Spy.” For example, “I spy something that begins with the sound “b.” Also, read aloud to your children and enjoy a good book together. This is one of the best activities you can do for listening, comprehension and pre- reading skills. This will enhance their success next school year. We pray that you have a safe and relaxing summer. We can’t wait to work and play together! Thank you and to God be the Glory!
Love, Your Kindergarten Teacher
