CHESHIRE AND MANCHESTER SUNDAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

At A meeting of the League, held on Tuesday, 5th October, 2010, in the Denton Cricket Club, Egerton Street, Denton

Present:- Messrs Caldwell (President), Clements (Chairman), Gordon (League Secretary), Noone (League Treasurer), Wilson (Referees), Davis (Registrations), Nibloe (Divisional Rep) together with the representatives of twenty Clubs.

Apologies for absence were submitted on behalf of Mr Commins and Mrs Caldwell.

18. NON-ATTENDANCE AND LATENESS

RESOLVED:- That the undermentioned Clubs be fined for non-attendance at this meeting:- Burlington, and Redgate Villa F.C.s

19. MINUTES

The Minutes of the last meeting of the League, held on 24th August, having been circulated, were taken as read and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

20. LEAGUE SECRETARY’S REPORT

a) Cup Final Venue and Dates

Report submitted that Wythenshawe Town F.C. had booked the same weeks for our Cup Final in 2011 as we have had for the past years (Last week in April and first week in May). This had been done due to the number of applications received from them from other Leagues.

b) Hands On Involvement

Apology submitted to the effect that the Secretary had been unable to offer full hands on involvement to the League bu that this might be changed in the future.

c) Manchester Unified F.C.

Report submitted to the effect that after the last meeting an approach had been made to the Chairman by this Club, to seek membership. They had been informed that as along as they cleared their debts with the MFA and the League they could be re-admitted. Unfortunately, the trail had gone dead during recent days and it now appeared that they would not be in membership.

d) Fog Lane Playing Fields – Double Bookings

Report submitted to the effect that problems had been experienced by our lubs at this venue due to the adult pitches having been allocated to junior Clubs.

Advice had been obtained from Messrs Commins and Caldwell who would investigate and resolve the matter.

e) Threat to Cancel Pitch Allocation – Inter Didsbury F.C.

Threat by the Manchester City Council submitted to withdraw this allocation due to the non-payment of last season’s bill.

It was explained that an invoice had never been received by the League and when it was the bill would be paid.

RESOLVED:- That the League Treasurer deal with the matter. 21. LEAGUE OFFICERS REPORTS

The various League Officers submitted their reports and the same were noted.

22. LEAGUE TREASURER’S REPORT

The League Treasurer reported on the League Accounts as follows:-

RESOLVED:- That the report be noted.

23. MONTHLY DRAW

The monthly draw took place as follows:-

September Church Tribute 26 Didsbury Colts 18

October Polski Orly 26 Chorlton Villa 18

24. VENUE FOR MEETINGS

(This matter was raised at the Management Committee following the meeting but is reported here for convenience)

The Chairman referred to the benefits of relocating the venue of the meeting to St Kents Social Club in Fallowfield.

Several members of the Committee submitted their views and it was decided to raise the matter at the next League meeting.
