Please pray for Cath Goss, Brendan Flanagan and Karl Grainger who have died recently and for Ken Norman, Eileen Smyth, Nat Campbell, Anne Whetnall, Paddy Lyons and John & Rose Harper whose anniversaries are around this time.

Croeso –Welcome-A very warm welcome to Fr John McFadden who is with us for the weekend.

We now temporarily have only two Priests on the Island, Fr Joe Daly living at Beaumaris and Fr Frank Murray at Holyhead, Weekday arrangements will be as follows: No Mass in Amlwch Parish week starting Monday 30th September (this Monday)Friday 4th October. No Mass in Beaumaris Parish week starting Monday 7th October to Friday 11th October and No Mass in Holyhead Parish week starting Monday 14th October to Thursday 17th October; all dates inclusive.

Thank you to the youth of the Parish who organised the tea & coffee last weekend and to all those who supported them £31.50 was raised for SVP.

Marilyn Walsh and Sybil Lavin are back from their annual pilgrimage to Lourdes where they help at the hospital with the sick and disabled pilgrims. A Mass has been offered in Lourdes for all our Intentions.

We are looking for some volunteers and ideas to brighten up and utilise the hall if you would like to be part of this team please contact the Parish office.

Parish Council. Reports are on the notice board at the back of Church. It is a stark fact that one in eight of us will go to bed hungry tonight. On Friday 4th October– Harvest Fast Day – CAFOD is asking you to make a place at your table to help our sisters and brothers in the world’s poorest countries get enough nutritious food to eat. Your Fast Day Envelopes are available in church this week. Please give as much as you can so that hunger doesn’t remain a fact of life. If you are a taxpayer, don’t forget to fill out the gift aid slip June 2014-Pilgrimage to Aix-en-Provence. Following the Footsteps of St Eugene 3rd –10th June 2014. Cost £799. Ecumenical Service on Wednesday 16th October at 7pm in the Oratory. Organised by the Justice and Peace group to pray for peace in Syria

Island news, events, notices. Newyddion, digwyddiadau a hysbysiadau The Island Pastoral Team met last Thursday. This group consists of the island priests, two lay people elected from the Island Mission Group and the two Centre of Mission Officers (Administrator and Pastoral Associate). The role of the Island Pastoral Team is to look in detail at matters raised by the Island Mission group, the Steering Groups and the Parish Councils. The main areas for discussion were the “Common Good and the new Anglesey” initiative (see below) and the major event which is planned to take place on the weekend of May 16/17/18th May 2014 when we want to celebrate the Anglesey Centre of Mission and the achievements of the eight Catholic Communities on the island. COME AND MEET YOUR COUNTY COUNCILLORS local County Councillors have agreed to come and meet us to explore ways of establishing a mutually beneficial working relationship between us and new ways of giving our communities a voice.
