Some of us may have been damaged by the past. Moses fled his past for 40 years. God told Moses he wanted him to go towards the future. The devil tries to convince us that the past is where we belong. By faith Moses forsook Egypt. Since we all have a past, we live in the fallout of what happened in our past that makes us who we are today. Paul said forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, “I press on to reach the end of the race.” The Bible says our future is in Jesus. The past will always come up. While we are on earth we are slaves to sins. By living in the past we allow the devil to define who we are, slaves to sin. Let the past stay in the past. We are no longer defined by the past because we are defined by Jesus. Don’t be afraid of the enemy, the devil. The devil is a thief and is mad because we transferred to Jesus. The devil is going to come often to put you back in the past. Stiff arm the devil and go toward Jesus. Moses is the epitome of a man who made it. He endured all things that came against him. He who endures until the end shall be saved. Church, you can endure; you can make it happen in our lives. What you fix your eyes on is where you will go. Fix your eyes on Jesus! God never calls the qualified, he ualifies the called!”
