I write in response to your request of 29 November 2010 (received 30 November 2010) for information in relation to the Lothian Joint Formulary.
I have been provided with information to help answer your request by Professor Pat Murray, Director of Pharmacy – NHS Lothian. a) An electronic copy of the board's Medicines Formulary;

The Approved Suppliers List used in the hospital pharmacy service, has been included with this response. c) List of IT software used in pharmacy
Ascribe, Pharmiss, PRISMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
It is not possible to provide information regarding IT software used in community pharmacies as they are independent contractors and as such are not supplied with any IT by NHS Lothian. ePharmacy solutions are provided as part of Pharmacy Medication Record (PMR) systems. Pharmacy contractors enter into a commercial agreement with the supplier of their choice. d) Average waiting time for outpatient prescriptions
Hospital pharmacy sites do not keep records of average waiting times for outpatient prescriptions, but have a target of a maximum of 30 minutes and keep a record of the percentage that meet the target for the monthly performance report. e) Organisation chart for pharmacy
