COLLEGE OF NURSES AOTEAROA Scholarship Awards 2014
A small number of scholarships will become available in 2014 for College of Nurses Members. These Scholarship will range in value from $500- $2000.
Applicants may request scholarships to support conference attendance, specialist study programs or further study after a completed masters’ degree.
1* The Scholarship Award may be held concurrently with another scholarship or bursary, and is non-taxable in New Zealand.
2* Consideration will only be given to applications submitted on the official application form, word processed and in the requested format. Please submit via email to [email protected] (All attachments must be in the one email please.) or post to The Administrator, College of Nurses, PO Box 1258, Palmerston North 4414
3* Applications close Monday 21st October 2013. (We are very pleased to be able to offer this opportunity for scholarships but do apologise for the tight timeline necessary for the application process.)
4* Applications are to be addressed to the Administrator, CNA(NZ) and will be considered by the College Board.
5* Each award will be made on merit, taking into consideration the nature of the planned conference/study/research, as well as the applicant's academic merit and participation in the profession and the College.
The Scholarship Awards can cover conference registration, travel and accommodation, specialist study programs or costs incurred with further study after a completed masters’ degree.
6* Applicants travelling to conferences are expected to complete travel by the 30th November 2014
7* Successful recipients will need to provide a report on the conference attendance to the Board of the College of Nurses within 6 weeks of returning from the conference. Those awarded Scholarships for study should provide a report on outcomes. These reports will be printed in the next Te Puawai (College journal published in April, July and November) so please do remember to take some photos as appropriate.
8* Retrospective costs will not be considered.
9* It is an expectation that recipients remain a financial member of the College for the duration of the scholarship term.
10* An inability to complete planned travel or maintain College membership because of extenuating circumstances will require discussion and may involve partial or full repayment of the award.
