STUDENT BULLETIN

 Today is Friday, March 31, 2017, Schedule Day 1.

 Library is open to passes today during Periods 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9.

 Any student interested in attending the Lehigh Career & Technical Institute (LCTI) next year must submit an application. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. Completed applications are due TODAY. Please see your counselor for more information.

 Juniors- If you plan to attend prom, please join our Google Classroom page. Guest permission forms are due next week and tickets go on sale before and after school next Wednesday, April 5th. If you have questions, see Mrs. Frantzen or Mrs. Simpkins ASAP.

 Monday, April 3rd is No Place For Hate Awareness/Casual Day. Don’t forget to wear your No Place For Hate attire!!

 The next GSA Meeting with be after school in Room 566 on Tuesday April 4th. This will be the last planning meeting before Day of Silence.

 Habitat for Humanity will be having a car wash on Saturday April 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Applebee’s in Trexlertown. Suggested donation is $5/car.

 The EHS Purse Bingo, the main fundraiser for the Senior Class Afterball, is coming up on Saturday, April 1st. The Bingo will be held in the EHS cafeteria. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the games will begin at 1:00. Advanced tickets are $20 and can be purchased by emailing [email protected]. Tickets will be sold at the door for $25.

 The Senior class sponsored Knockerball scheduled for April 1st has been cancelled.

 Congratulations to the EHS Boys Baseball Team for being the winner of the Shave for the Brave Team Competition with 28 participants and over $6,000 raised. Congratulations Boys Baseball and thank you everyone who participated and helped us to raise over $70,000 to help fight childhood cancer!

 Seniors who want to buy a ticket for senior ball MUST fill out a ticket request form which will be available from senior homeroom teachers and outside of room 335 and room 235. You will need that completed form in order to buy your ticket starting on Friday, March 31st at lunches. The ball is Friday, May 5th from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and tickets are $60 per person. No tickets can be purchased without that form.

 Any senior who wants to bring a guest from another school must get a guest pass from Mrs. Murray in room 335 and return it, completed with all signatures, no later than APRIL 5th to room 335.

 Attention Juniors and Seniors: - Make sure you pay any fines or debts you may have before buying a prom or ball ticket this year. Not sure if you have a fine? Please stop by the main office.

 Mud Club’s Empty Bowls Event this year was our best ever!! Thank you everyone who came to support our event. Many of you have taken away a beautiful bowl to commemorate our combined efforts to alleviate hunger in this community. If you missed coming out to the event you can still contribute and take away a beautiful bowl. We have many choices and bowls will be displayed for two weeks on the Mud Club cart in room 520. Come see us throughout the day to pick a bowl and donate to our cause.

 EHS Buzz Magazine will be hosting one final Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza fundraiser for the school year on Monday, April 3rd. 20% of all dine in and carry out orders, including beverages, will be donated to Buzz Magazine. Money raised helps cover the cost of the annual print issue. Just mention that you are supporting Buzz Magazine when you place your order.

 Any eleventh grade student who is strongly considering attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for college should add his/her name to a list in the Counseling Office to be considered for the Rensselaer Medal. The EHS Counselors may nominate one qualified student to receive this award upon his/her acceptance to RPI in senior year. The award is worth a minimum of $25,000 each year in scholarship. To be considered, the student must be in the top 10% of the junior class and should be taking four years of math and science including biology, chemistry, and lab-based physics. The deadline to submit your name to the Counseling Office for consideration is Thursday, April 13th.

 Please remember that if you are late to school, you need to enter through the Main Office doors to sign-in at the Late desk.

 The half hour after school detentions have been moved from Café 1 to room 223 until further notice.
