TRAVEL TO LODZ General notice: As already underlined this is not the most convenient period to visit Poland due to the European Football Championships to be held in June 2012. As a result the whole public transport infrastructure undergoes major constructing work before that event and the unpredictable weather conditions in April might make things even worse. Last but not least, the main railway station in Lodz (FABRYCZNA) is being rebuilt so you will have to arrive at LODZ WIDZEW railway station far away from the city center. Nevertheless the hints below should help in making your journey as convenient as possible in such not avoidable circumstances.

Take a taxi from the Warsaw airport to the main railway station called WARSZAWA CENTRALNA (please notice: take a taxi ONLY from the taxi stop since they are accredited by the airport and your price is guaranteed: 30-40 PLN maximum) 2. Just be sure You have enough cash in PLN. 3. Go to platform 4 (PERON 4); train to LODZ WIDZEW leaves at least once per hour 4.
