Dear Parent(S)/Guardian(S) s2

May 2, 2016

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Here we are in the fourth quarter of the school year already and the end of the year is rapidly approaching. Fifth grade will be a busy place to be throughout the month of May. We have reached the point in the school year when fifth grade students take the SOLs for reading, math, and science. The scheduled dates for each test, for each classroom teacher, are listed below. It is very important that your child get plenty of rest the night before each test and a good breakfast the following morning. Ensuring these things will help your student perform to the best of his/her ability on these assessments. It is also very important that your child be on time and present on these dates. If for some reason your child is absent on one of these days, he/she will take the test(s) on the makeup date(s). If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher.
