Plan Your Deployment with Software Assurance Benefits Available at no additional charge for Microsoft Software Assurance (SA) customers, AZDPS allows you to get the expert guidance you need to jumpstart your journey to the Public Cloud and identify which areas of your business are suited for Windows Azure.

Choose the engagement best suited to your business needs: 3 Day Engagement – Learn how the Microsoft Public Cloud offering, Windows Azure, can be used to benefit your business. The engagement includes an overview, training for architects and developers, and a demo of a sample application. 5 Day Engagement – Learn about the Microsoft Public Cloud offering and develop an assessment for your next web application to run on Windows Azure. The engagement includes training for Windows Azure, a demo of a sample application, and an assessment plan for at least one production web application. 10 day Engagement – Learn about the Microsoft Public Cloud offering and develop an assessment for your line-of-business (LOB) applications to run on Windows Azure. The engagement includes training for Windows Azure, an assessment for at least three production LOB applications, and demos of sample applications. PUBLIC CLOUD, AZURE DEPLOYMENT PLANNING SERVICES Choose the Offering Engagement for Your Business As a Software Assurance customer, you are entitled to Planning Service days which can be redeemed for deployment planning engagements with Microsoft Services or qualified Microsoft partners. The number of Planning Services days you are eligible for depends on the type and number of Software Assurance licenses you have. Planning Services days are pooled and can be used on any of the Planning Services offerings regardless of the products purchased. Activate Your Software Assurance Benefit You can track your available Planning Services days and activate your vouchers at the Microsoft Volume License Services website: https://licensing.microsoft.com. 1. Log into Microsoft Volume License Services at https://licensing.microsoft.com. Note: Administrative rights are required to activate Planning Services. Contact your notices contact or benefits administrator for assistance. 2. Go to “Software Assurance Benefit Summary” and select the “Planning Services” benefit. 3. Select, “Create an AZDPS Voucher”. 4. Assign the voucher to a project manager within your company. The project manager will receive an e-mail with information about the benefit and a link with directions for contacting a local Microsoft partner or Microsoft Services to schedule the engagement. 5. Visit the Provider Directory to find a qualified provider and to contact them to schedule an engagement at http://directory.partners.extranet.microsoft.com/psbproviders.
