Land O’Lakes is a leading marketer of a full line of dairy-based consumer, foodservice and food ingredient products across the United States; and provides farmers and ranchers with an extensive line of agricultural supplies (feed, seed, and crop protection products) and services.

Position Purpose: The IS/IT Field Support Specialist will provide overall IS/IT technical support to overseas field offices in the areas of information systems, software, hardware, networking and communications technology. This position will act as the main desktop, network, systems and software support for overseas field users. This position has a primary responsibility working with Corporate IT to establish IT standards for overseas offices. Other responsibilities include: acting as the main contact for overseas staff, assisting in project start-ups and close downs, working with IT providers to resolve issues, and implementing division specific systems and technology. This position requires up to 30% international travel to assist overseas projects. Possible travel destinations include developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Required (Basic) Experience & Education: Must have a 4-Year University degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information Systems, MIS, or related field plus a minimum of 2 years experience working in IT systems support role(s). Prior International experience/exposure is required.

Required Competencies & Other Skills: Must possess advanced knowledge of Windows, networks, and internet connectivity, MS Office suites, and databases. Knowledge of commonly used financial systems, collaboration platforms, content management and reporting systems.

Preferred Experience & Education: Telecommunications experience is helpful. The technological environment consists of: Windows 7, Logix, Skype, video conferencing, MS Office 2010, Sharepoint 2010, Costpoint, Cognos, Impax (Oracle CRM). Experience supporting these technologies is preferred.

Preferred Competencies & Other Skills: Language skills such as Spanish, French, Portugese, and Swahili preferred.
