Position Title: Campaign Specialist – Light the Night Walk & Team in Training

Position Classification: Full Time Exempt

Position Description: The North Carolina Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is seeking a full time Campaign Specialist to assist in conducting the Light the Night Walk (LTN) and Team in Training (TNT) Campaigns. The money raised supports the LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin's disease, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The Campaign Specialist position is critical in the organization and management of these events, and he/she will partner with Campaign Managers to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities. The Campaign Specialist reports to the Deputy Executive Director. The candidate will be self-motivated, forward thinking, and goal oriented. Some weekend and evening hours will be required.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

 Lead the recruitment and management of LTN Friends & Family Teams (Charlotte market)  Management of LTN retail partnerships (Charlotte market)  Lead logistics for the LTN Charlotte Awards Celebration  Partner with the LTN Campaign Manager to coordinate logistics for the Charlotte Walk Kickoff  Implement LTN pre-event planning and day-of logistics for the Charlotte Walk  Lead bulk material ordering for the Chapter (LTN Walker Manuals)  Enter donations for the Charlotte LTN Walk  Localize and distribute Charlotte LTN eNewsletter  Plan and manage all aspects related to TNT event weekends in NC  Work with national office and chapter staff regarding all aspects of TNT event weekends, to include Race Expo, Inspiration Dinner and Finisher’s Tent (on appropriate race weekends)  Create and update the TNT Team Lead Database for each season & enter all required information into database  Oversee ordering process for all TNT supplies  Staff two local TNT event weekends a year  Support the TNT Campaign Manager (Charlotte market) during recruitment periods  Support the TNT Campaign Manager (Charlotte market) with in-season activities (social events, group training sessions and send-off parties)  Remotely manage all aspects of the Wilmington TNT market including: recruitment, in-season activities, fundraising support, weekly email communication, management of coaches  Maintain a working knowledge of LLS mission and its programs

Requirements:  2 years fundraising, communications, sales, marketing, event planning  Able to supervise groups of employees and volunteers  Excellent oral and written communication skills  Relationship driven  Entrepreneurial spirit  Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
