Position: Global Marketing Communications Manager

Location: Newbury Park, CA

Reports To: Global Marketing Director

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Global Marketing Communications Manager (GMCM) is to manage and implement global brand and product marketing campaigns across all channels (retail, e-commerce, and social media). To accomplish this goal the GMCM will be directly responsible for managing the following marketing activities: (1) Content Development and Management (2) Web and Social Media Content Activation (3) Public Relations Coordination

Duties and Responsibilities:

Content Development and Management  Creative and project manager for consumer-facing content creation: videos, photography, and other assets as needed  Collaborate with Bike and Gear product marketing and product development teams to develop and execute compelling content to support product launches/product stories  Develop and manage content calendar  Manage and distribute global marketing assets to colleagues worldwide

Web and Social Media Management  Collaborate with product marketing and digital marketing team to manage enhancement of Giant’s Web site experience  Develop and execute Giant global social media activation plan, ensuring that each channel maintains a clear role and voice  Promote growth of direct communication with consumers through social media with relevant content and targeted promotions  Help administer or manage administration of all Giant global social media executions

Public Relations Coordination  Collaborate with brand and product marketing teams to support PR initiatives  Track and report PR activation to continually enhance reach and effectiveness

Global Marketing Support  Provide support at global marketing events and launches as needed  Provide on-going input and involvement to shape global marketing strategy and direction

Qualifications:  5+ years Creative Content and Marketing Communications experience.  Experience in or passion for cycling and/or sporting goods industry.  Strong project management skills and experience working successfully with cross-functional teams.  Strong communication skills, especially outlining and writing short and long-form content.  Solid foundation in creative initiatives, marketing campaign strategy, content marketing and performance measurement.  Strong analytical and business skills.  Understanding Media and Public Relations, Advertising.  Demonstrated knowledge of Marketing strategies related to online and offline tools.  Ability to work independently and adapt easily to change.  Domestic and international travel required.
