Council Meeting – April 12, 2016

1. Mayor Mike Steinhardt called the council meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

2. Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Roll call. Members present: Jeremy Fromm, Tom Keller, Guy Grube, Bill Krueger, Alice Achter. Members absent: John Brocker. Others present: Mike Mathes, John Korb, Jim Baumann.

4. Plan Commission minutes from April 6, 2016 reviewed.

5. Grube moved Achter seconded to approve the minutes of the March 22, 2016 meeting. Motion Carried.

6. Krueger moved Grube seconded to allow Kris August to attend the Water Environment Federation Conference in New Orleans on September 24-28, 2016. Motion Carried.

7. Fromm moved Keller seconded to approve a 6 month Class B beer license for the Kiel Baseball Club in Belitz Park. Grube – Nay. Motion Carried.

8. Keller moved Achter seconded to allow the Dysautonomia Awareness Walk/5k run on May 28th, 2016. Motion Carried.

9. Achter moved Grube seconded to allow the SS Peter and Paul Parish Charity – Fun/Run May 15th, 2016. Motion Carried.

10. Grube moved Krueger seconded to approve financing $10,000 from the Revolving Loan Fund for storefront remodeling, Cheryl Brack, 617 Fremont Street. Motion Carried.

11. Keller moved Krueger seconded to approve a temporary liquor beer license on May 15th, 2016 for the SS Peter and Paul Parish Fun/Run. Motion Carried.

12. Grube moved Fromm seconded to approve hiring temporary and summer seasonal help, Jeffery August, Betty Dahm, Jack Luedtke, Laureen Casper, Brandon Niemuth, Noah Draxler, Cheyenne Krueger. Motion Carried.

13. Fromm moved Achter seconded to set a public hearing on May 10th, 2016 in the City Council Chambers to review requested to add “Wellness and Fitness Center” to 17.27 (2) Conditional Uses Permitted 17.28 (2) Conditional Uses Permitted and 17.29 (2) Conditional Uses Permitted and delete Section 1.27 Cable Communications Committee, delete Section 1.23 Indian Hill Board, and change Section 1.30 Wards to include an attached map rather than a legal description of the ward. Motion Carried.

14. Krueger moved Achter seconded to approve operator’s licenses for Cody Pautz. Motion Carried.

15. Grube moved Fromm seconded to approve all receipts and disbursements. Motion Carried.

16. Fromm moved Grube seconded to pay all approved bills. Roll Call Vote. Fromm, Keller, Grube, Krueger, Achter – 5 Ayes, 0 Nays. Motion Carried.

17. Keller moved Krueger seconded to adjourn the council meeting at 6:25 P.M. Motion Carried.
