The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:03 pm.

Minutes of the two March meetings were approved as submitted, with one abstention for March 16, and two abstentions for March 18.

Barbara Lloyd thanked George and Diane Morris, Marcia Olds, and Alan Axelsen for refreshments

Membership – Lou Oliverio reported four vacancies in ¼ and 2/2

Events - Natalie Mihalek announced that invitations have gone out for the annual dinner on May 7th. The keynote speaker is Senator Scott Wagner from York, PA. She also distributed a sign-up sheet for Community Day.

Rules – Pam Enck moved to temporarily modify the endorsement policy to allow the USCRC chair to conduct the endorsement meeting following the candidate presentations. Ann Shuman seconded the motion, and Lou Oliverio offered an amendment to include future meetings under this policy modification. Pam accepted the amended motion and it passed unanimously.

Barbara Lloyd announced that Natalie Mihalek has been appointed to replace Judy Brown as State Committeewoman.

The regular meeting was adjourned at 8:01.

Endorsement Meeting Bill Babcock moved to endorse Sam DeMarco as County Council Member-at- Large. Randi Bick seconded the motion which passed unanimously 21 – 0 Randi Bick moved to endorse Sue Means as County Councilwoman, and Steve Stockton seconded the motion which passed unanimously 21 – 0 Alan Axelson moved to endorse one of two candidates , Ron Arnoni and Molly Gaussa,for District Judge, and Steve Lynch seconded the motion . After discussion the first vote was taken, with Ron Arnoni securing 13 votes, and Molly Gaussa securing 11. As this was not a 60% majority mandated by the endorsement policy, a second vote was taken. Ron Arnoni received 14 votes, and Molly Gaussa received 10. As no candidate received the required 60% majority, the committee will not endorse a candidate for District Judge.

Matoula Rice moved to follow the rules heretofore for School Director which would allow the committee to endorse the candidate with the most votes. George Morris seconded the motion, which must pass with 60% of voters in favor. Lou Oliverio presented an amendment calling for a secret ballot, which Matoula rejected. The motion was defeated by a vote of 6 in favor, 9 opposed, and 3 abstentions. The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 PM
