The site provides real estate professionals access to the development progress of 52 condominium units and the ability to reserve a unit and dynamically fill out and submit a standard Wisconsin real estate contract in pdf form via the internet. American Mortgage Consultants, Inc. – Libertyville, IL February 2004 – Present Working as a consultant and functioning as Senior Developer in assisting in the development and maintenance of an internet based real estate due diligence system titled Tigre. Tigre allows the underwriting team to enter all of the pertinent data for a mortgage loan and performs credit and compliance analysis on the data and assists the underwriter in the determination of the value of a given mortgage loan. Tigre was originally written in C#.NET 1.1 using Visual Studio.NET 2003 and relying on a SQL Server 2000 database (later upgraded to 205) for its data store. GATX Rail – Chicago, IL November 2003 – February 2004 Working again as a consultant and acting as Lead Developer responsible for the on-going maintenance of the Visual Basic 6 system which is used for the import and analysis of railcar data. March 2003 – August 2003 Working as a consultant and acting as Senior Developer in assisting in the enhancement of a custom budgeting system developed by Utilities International, Inc. for the Xcel Energy Company of Minneapolis, MN. This system was constructed for the Xcel Energy intranet using ASP+, JavaScript (client and server side), COM+, and Oracle 8i. Responsibilities included replacing much of the data layer originally written in script with a COM+ based data layer. Also, much of the existing, scripted, business layer was replaced with COM+ components. Finally, several custom Java applets were added to the system replacing some scripted portions in order to improve performance and add increased functionality. GATX Rail – Chicago, IL July 2002 – March 2003 Working again as a consultant and called upon to act as Architect and Lead Developer and be solely responsible for the on-going maintenance and new development of all Microsoft technology solutions for the company including the GATX corporate web site and Intranet. New development included a wide variety of on-line reporting applications for the engineering department as well as a customer tracking system used by the marketing department and an on-line railcar inspection system. All development was accomplished using classic Active Server Pages (ASP) accessing Oracle tables and data from the corporate Sap system. Responsibilities also included the administration of the three NT-4 servers and the upgrade of them to the Windows 2000 operating system. Several small Visual Basic 6 projects were also completed among them one that allowed for the import and analysis of railcar data supplied by the UMLER Company, which compiles and distributes rail industry data. Information Management Group (IMG)/FMS, Inc. – Vienna, VA July 2001 – July 2002 Working as a consultant and functioning as Senior Developer in assisting in the development of a very large B2B marketplace for promotional products for the Tic Toc Division of the Omnicom Company of Irvine, TX. This sophisticated marketplace was constructed using the latest Microsoft e-commerce technologies, Commerce Server 2000 Enterprise, BizTalk Server, ASP+, COM+, SQL Server 2000, and XML/XSLT. The prototype of the marketplace was completed in October 2001 with the first version going live in January 2002 and the latest release on April 1, 2002. The marketplace allows more than 1000 vendors of promotional products to compete in displaying their products and in responding to bid requests from buyers of promotional goods. Responsibilities included customizing, enhancing and extending the functionality of the Business Desk (BizDesk) portion of the product to allow for Vendors of promotional materials to log in and enter and maintain their catalog information remotely via the Internet keeping each of the them separate from the others. Numerous COM+ components and new ASP+ pages were also created for the site. Additionally, many other pages were enhanced allowing for increased functionality to the system expanding it

In addition, a large part of the work was to mentor and instruct the less experienced developers in the Internet technologies (ASP/DHTML/HTML) and specifically the Commerce Server 2000 package. Industrial Roofing Services, Inc. – Appleton, WI January 2002 – March 2002 Working as a consultant and acting as Architect and Lead Developer for a large portion of their commercial web site. The work included creating the Construction Documents portion, which allows clients to view the design specifications and plans, as well as converting many reports originally written in Access. All work was performed using HTML, DHTML, and Active Server Pages (ASP) accessing reporting data from a MS-Access 2000 database. IRS specializes in designing custom roofing solutions for commercial clients. They provide comprehensive roof management surveys, customized specifications, roof inspection services, infrared moisture surveys, and general roof consulting. InfoWorks, Inc. – Lake Bluff, IL December 1998 – January 2002 Working as a consultant and functioning as Architect and Lead Developer of a large commercial website including an e-commerce component implemented using HTML, DHTML, and the StoreFront 2000 product customized using Active Server Pages (ASP) storing data in an MS-Access 2000 database. InfoWorks specializes in business effectiveness training and consulting with over twenty years of experience providing the training and tools necessary to improve on-the-job effectiveness. Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Inc. – Lincolnshire, IL December 2000 – March 2001 Working as a consultant and acting as Architect and Lead Developer of an Intranet based Corporate Merit Review system having been given a rough requirements document. This system allows Takeda management personnel to complete and manage all of their department salary reviews providing for the roll-ups of salary and percentage increases throughout departments and divisions. Vice Presidents and division directors can view and lock all merit reviews for each individual and department reporting to them in their reporting tree. After the company president’s final review the human resources department has the final lockout, which releases a feature allowing departmental managers to directly print reviews for dispersal to their direct reports. This project was developed using HTML, DHTML, and Active Server Pages accessing Oracle 8i data using, in some cases, ADSI LDAP manipulation functions against an MS Site Server 3.0 directory. Visual Basic 6.0/COM provided the methods and properties for much of the business layer and the encryption/decryption functions that were required. The project was brought in on time and under budget and was very well received. GATX Terminals – Chicago, IL September 2000 – December 2000 Working as a consultant and functioning as the Technical Team Leader in developing a web-based, secure, extranet from a "requirements document" and an existing PowerBuilder application. This extranet provides GATX Terminals customers with the ability to view the disposition and status of all products currently stored at GATX Terminals facilities and on rail tank cars. The main function was to lead the development effort providing technical expertise to a staff of seven developers, two business analysts and one Oracle DBA. This was the first web development project for all of the GATX Terminals personnel concerned. Tasks included training the developers in Active Server Pages, Visual Basic 6.0/COM, Javascript, VBScript, HTML, and DHTML while at the same time meeting all of the development deadlines. Courses were given in the necessary technologies while completing the design of the extranet. Some, but not all, of the business and data access functions of the extranet were implemented using COM. Due to the inexperience of the development team the use of COM was kept to a minimum. The Oracle 8i database was used as the data store. Project planning and tracking was done using MS-Project and MS-Visio. All of the project's goals elucidated in the "requirements document", were accomplished ahead of schedule and $20,000 under budget. 3 Resume of John E. Vrbancic Project Predict, Inc. – Arlington Heights, IL July 2000 – January 2001 Working as a consultant and functioning as Architect and Lead Developer of a Visual Basic 6.0-based client-server system titled Project Predict for a commercial real-estate development company. This system takes in a variety of building and cost parameters and then produces a large MS-Excel spreadsheet model which plans and projects the successful construction schedule and costs of large commercial real estate development projects. This work is on going and will encompass all facets of the commercial real-estate development world including single-family attached and detached home communities, new and converted condominiums, multi-family rental buildings and vacant land development. Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Inc. – Lincolnshire, IL April 2000 – August 2000 Working as a consultant and acting as Architect and Lead Developer of a web-based Sales Force Roster display and management system. A variety of web-based Marketing Quizzes and tests were designed and created as well as moving their Employee Policy Manual to the intranet and creating several network maintenance pages allowing for user account unlock, password change and on-line Change Control Form submission. All of these projects for Takeda were accomplished using HTML, DHTML, Active Server Pages and Visual Basic 6.0/COM for the business and data access functions while going against an Oracle 8i database and some Access data using in some cases ADSI LDAP manipulation functions. TAP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. – Lake Forest, IL January 1999 – April 2000 Working as a consultant and functioning as Technical Team Leader and Lead Developer in the support for the marketing department's Intranet development needs. Many departmental and product Intranet sites were created featuring on-line quizzes, contests, product and supplies ordering, results reporting, and continuously evolving, dynamic, site content for their Prevacid and Lupron product lines. All of the development was done using HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Active Server Pages and Visual Basic 5.0/COM. MS-Access, MS-SQL Server, and Oracle 7 provided database support all running under MS-IIS 4 on Microsoft NT 4.0 platforms. BP-AMOCO – Chicago, IL March 1998 – January 1999 Working as a consultant and acting as Architect and Lead Developer of the entire Year 2000 (Y2K) component compliance tracking used by the worldwide enterprise to track and report on the compliance and criticality of all ~32,000 components company wide. The system was written for their corporate intranet using HTML, DHTML, and JavaScript using the ColdFusion application server with data stored on an MS-Access database. The system was very successful and was widely credited with contributing to the 100% compliance of all of AMOCO’s components by the time the critical date came.

Working as a consultant and functioning as Senior Developer, as part of a web development team, created the hardware maintenance contracts portion of an asset management system. This system was written for their corporate intranet using HTML, DHTML, and JavaScript using the ColdFusion application server with data stored on an Oracle 7 database. Unfortunately, this system was never implemented as British Petroleum saw it as redundant after the acquisition of AMOCO. Fortress Technologies – Hillside, IL May 1998 – August 1998 Working part-time as a consultant and acting as Senior Developer solely created the interface between a large commercial asset management system and MS-Project. The aim was to allow the users of the asset management system to work with project data generated from the system directly in MS-Project and insuring that all changed data (steps added, dependencies created or changed) would be reflected in the master system database. This was accomplished

4 Resume of John E. Vrbancic using COM to link the Visual Basic 5.0 system with MS-Project. The data was stored using ADO on whatever ODBC database the user had set up. CNA Insurance Company – Chicago, IL November 1997 – March 1998 Working as a consultant and functioning as Architect and Lead Developer of an agricultural risk rating and policy generating client/server application from the top down encompassing all phases of the normal project life cycle. The system was written entirely in Visual Basic 5.0 using MS-Access for data storage and Crystal Reports for reporting. The client-side program was written to collect up to 300 pieces of data on 21 individual forms. Data is validated on the client, then, at the end of the day, is transmitted via RAS to an Microsoft NT server upon which a server version of the program is run to insure a good data transmission, update the server-side database, and allow the underwriter to rate the risk and create the policy. The policy is then transmitted back to the client where it is printed for distribution to the customer. The system was distributed to the entire CNA agricultural sales staff throughout the Midwest and was used throughout the entire 1998 growing season. The Comdisco Company – Chicago, IL May 1996 – November 1997 Working as a consultant and acting as Architect and Lead Developer of a "Cost of Computing" system employing Visual Basic 4.0. This system allows for the input and storage of model parameters into MS-Access and then dynamically creates an MS-Excel spreadsheet model, which details the value of leasing versus owning computer equipment. The system also allows for the comparison of two different models to produce a before and after leasing scenario used to demonstrate to a prospective customer how and when they would save money by leasing versus buying computer equipment.

Working as a consultant and functioning as Architect and Lead Developer of a "Lease vs. Buy" decision support system using Visual Basic 4.0, MS-Excel, and MS-Access encompassing the full systems life cycle. This system allows a salesperson to enter all of the parameters of the lease and buy scenarios and then dynamically creates an Excel spreadsheet model. This model provides all of the comparison of the lease and the buy cash flow streams leading to a break-even graph showing at what level of residual value of the equipment that the leasing and buying scenarios are equivalent. This typically would allow the salesperson to illustrate that unless the customer can be assured of getting a certain percentage returned from their equipment purchase that a lease would be a better financial proposition for the customer.

Due to the great success of this "Lease vs. Buy" system it was rewritten in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and the ColdFusion application server with Sybase SQL Server 11 as the database for the corporate intranet from October 1996 to March 1997. This was accomplished and deployed before the projected distribution date.

Working as a consultant and acting as Project Manager for the Intranet and Internet development departments. The departments together consisted of nine web developers, six employees and three additional web consultants. The projects developed included a contact management system used by the inside and external sales force, an e-commerce site used in the sale of used technology equipment, and many application requiring the porting over and reporting on legacy data as well as the corporate Intranet site. All of these projects were developed using HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and the ColdFusion application server going against legacy data stored on a Sybase SQL Server 11 database extracted nightly from an IBM DB2 database running on an AS/400 minicomputer. Moore Business Forms – Lake Forest, IL January 1995 – May 1996 Working as a consultant and functioning as Senior Developer in the creation of a client/server order entry and warehouse maintenance application using Visual Basic 3.0/COM with MS-Access as the database and Crystal Reports for reporting. The system was developed from the design phase through implementation and testing having been given a requirements definition. The system is used remotely at a customer's location to provide the ability for a customer to create orders from a catalog, which was updated daily. The orders are then transmitted nightly via RAS for

The CS Group – Mundelein, IL April 1992 – January 1995 Working as Senior Developer and assisting in the development of a car warranty system for both new and used cars for Ryan Insurance, Chicago, IL. The system was PC-Based and written in Clipper 5.0. The system was distributed to the car dealers who carry the warranty insurance in order that a point-of-sale policy could be drawn up immediately and the data later downloaded to the parent company for file management and tracking.

Assisted in the development of a comprehensive, PC-Based real estate Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) system, written entirely in Visual Basic 3.0 using MS-Access, and titled EzCMA. The software is used by a home seller's agent to automatically log onto the local real estate multiple listing service bulletin boards and, based on search criteria entered by the agent, extracts complete, current comparable property listing information. The data is then presented in numerous, selectable report, and graphical forms. A companion system, titled Show & Sell, was also developed which provides similar abilities for agents to create custom showing schedules of properties to prospective buyers.

Working as part of a development team and assisting in the development of the Koenig & Strey, Glenview, IL real- estate firm's Marketing Support System. Responsibilities included the creation the portion of the system that automatically dialed into and logged onto local real estate multiple listing service bulletin boards and downloaded any activity to any of the thousands of real-estate properties managed by the real-estate firm and its agents. Current data is minutely analyzed and any changes to the listing are reflected in the property database and reported on. This system was written entirely in Visual Basic 2.0 using MS Access and Crystal Reports for reporting. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
