Also there are those which received rain but did not have somewhere to store the water hence need water even after it rained.  According to Save the Children in Adado there were cases of children having malaria which were brought to Adado Hospital and this could be attributed to the stagnant water from the rain in Adado town which may acted as breeding zone for mosquito.

File Name: Galgadud Regional WASH cluster meeting held on 7th May 2015 WASH (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene) CLUSTER AGENDAS FOR REGIONAL WASH CLUSTER MEETING Somalia Somalia which is a gap in the affected towns of Abudwak, guriceel and Adado.  Solidarities International could fill and provide water voucher to 780HHS in Adado and Abudwak district, if the agencies have such gaps in their operational zones. Also Solidarities can intervene to provide hygiene kit to 150HHs in Abudwak and Adado district respectively.  In the deliberation, Save the Children planned to intervene and rehabilitate 10 berkeds as they also planned cover and protect the berkeds for safety and cleanness. They further planned to dig 10 garbage disposals in Abudwak districts as well as provision of NFI items including mosquito nets to in the same district.

COOPI have ongoing activities of :

Hygiene promotion (through trained CHPs) .Pipeline extension and construction of Water kiosks. Distribution of hygiene kits. Construction of community latrines. Water trucking for IDP the target is 500 HHs who are poorest and vulnerable IDPs in Guriel zone.

CESVI have WASH and WASH related activities such Hygiene promotion and rehabilitation of water points in Galinsor

File Name: Galgadud Regional WASH cluster meeting held on 7th May 2015 WASH (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene) CLUSTER AGENDAS FOR REGIONAL WASH CLUSTER MEETING Somalia Somalia  TARDO organization had planned to cover unprotected berkeds in Dusamareb and Adado district respectively where they also planned to cover 4 berked in Dusamareb and 3 in Adado district as they also planned to train water resource committee in the same places.  CPD planned to provide CLTS in Adado area to mobilize community members for collective identifications and actions around priorities and on sanitation and hygiene practices which is a significant change in the future where the 785 HHs are on target.

Any other business  Solidarities international have promised to transfer items for the regional hub which was under their custody and CPD were invited to take it any time from the store so it is used in the supply hub. Meeting Adjourned  The meeting was adjourned while the next meeting will be held on 4th June 2015 and the venue will be communication.
