1. There is a presupposition that everyone has a self waiting to be found. There is no such thing. The self is something waiting to be created and that is through commitment 2. It is what we commit ourselves to that gives us meaning and purpose and identity 3. Story about Blondin who walked a tightrope across Niagara Falls with a guy on his shoulders 4. What would Jesus do if he were in your shoes? 5. Start trying to do what Jesus would do and to be what Jesus would be 6. Living the Christian life is very very difficult. You will fail over and over again 7. There is a big difference between trying to do something for Jesus and Jesus doing something through you 8. When Jesus Christ posses you, one of the results will be that your heart will be broken by the things that break the heart of God 14. Story about when Tony took his students to Haiti 15. Story about when Mrs. Kirkpatrick died and Tony went to the wrong funeral but stayed with the lady who’s husband died and was the only one in attendance at his funeral 16. When you become a Christian, you will find it a privilege to meet those that are hurting and share their hurts 17. When you become a Christian, the things that are wrong with this world will anger you 18. 1 John 3:8 19. Story about the integrated church and the hillbilly preacher 20. Jesus takes the garbage out of your life 21. When you become a Christian, Jesus will invade you life and make you into someone who can change the world 22.
