AEM Releases Software Update

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AEM Releases Software Update for Infinity Programmable ECU!

AEM is pleased to announce that it has released its Version 90 (v90) software update for its Infinity ECU. This upgrade delivers several new and enhanced features to the already powerful v87 version of InfinityTuner software, in addition to improved navigation and data logging capability. These enhancements include:

MORE FLEXIBILITY  Updated Wizard database includes more injector flow selections, more CLT and AIT selections, and a redesigned crank and cam set up page that is easier to navigate and includes more selections.  Enhanced Fuel Pressure Calculation model allows tuners to data log fuel differential pressure without using it for injector flow calculations, and separates the fuel pressure failsafe value from assumed static fuel pressure which allows tuners to specify a static fuel pressure without a sensor.  Accel Fuel (WallWetting table) includes more axis inputs including engine speed, throttle rate of change, CLT, MAP rate of change and MAP.  Rev Limiters enhancement allows for open loop rev limit tuning and retains PID tuning capability  Expanded Map Switching feature includes two VE maps, four ignition maps and four Lambda target maps. Boost control target maps now include ModeSwitch as an axis input option.  LowSide Outputs are re-assignable to different functions and can be pulsewidth modulated (PWM). The enhanced set up Wizard for this feature includes pin descriptions and instructions, and allows users to change the control frequency.  HighSide Outputs are re-assignable. Two can be assigned to different functions.  CLT, AIT and Oil Temp Sensor Inputs are re-assignable to simple analog inputs, which is useful when piggybacking controls that share these inputs or where existing gauges using outputs are reading the temperatures.  MAP Sensor Failsafe function is expanded to include a table that can blend RPM, throttle and baro to create a manifold pressure value, and automatically defaults to the min or max value that can be measured by the assigned sensor in a failed state.  USB Log Retention is enhanced so that logs are saved in the event of a complete power loss (using RAW file format).  Save and load pre-configured channel lists for faster, easier set up of internal logging and access to password protected channels.  More layouts are available to enhance the tuning process.  Session Notes feature allows users to save critical engine tuning info within the session file.

NEW FEATURES:  2-Channel User Configurable Drive by Wire includes a set up Wizard with automated sensor input calibrations for APP and TPS inputs.  2-Channel user configurable VVC with set up Wizard.  Switch activated Launch Timer can be used for drag racing control of boost targets and 3-step limiters.  Launch Antilag feature allows timing retard as a function of engine speed and MAP.  Vehicle Speed Input allows calculation of vehicle speed from ground speed or drive wheel speed.  Time-Based Ignition Trim for enhanced control of drag race launches.
