Introduction of Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books For 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Students

Battle of the Our teacher-librarian, Mrs. Vosper, has introduced all of the Battle of the Books to our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. This is the fourteenth year Books for this reading incentive program sponsored by the Grass Lake Library. Teams will read the 18 Young Reader’s Choice and Sasquatch award nominated books. (See list) During the competition the students answer questions about these books. The reading competition is similar to Jeopardy.

Our library has 5 copies of each title. Students are currently signing up to read and reserve the books. To expedite reading, Mrs. Cayce, our library para-educator, will deliver the books to another student on the list as soon as it is 2015 returned to the library. The King County library buys multiple copies of these titles and they also have audio books for some titles. YOUNG READER’S CHOICE
