Hanover Park Park District Community Center Gallery DISPLAY AGREEMENT (Return one per artist for group shows) Exhibit dates: March 2 – 28, 2013

IMPORTANT: Bring this form when you drop off your work AND also send this form in advance to Arts in Bartlett by e-mail, fax or mail to arrive by February 18. Only current (2013) members are eligible to be in this members-only show. See Arts in Bartlett contact information above to check your membership status.

Deadline for form to Arts in Bartlett: Friday, February 15 Drop off work and forms to the gallery: Thursday, February 28 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (or by arrangement) Reception at gallery: Monday, March 11 – 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pick up work: Monday, April 1, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Label your work with name, medium, year of completion, sale price or NFS on the back. Tape an ID label to the FRONT of piece/s.)

By submitting this display agreement, I agree to exhibit my work from March 2 to March 28, 2013 at the Hanover Park Park District Community Center Gallery, 1919 Walnut Ave., Hanover Park, Illinois. I also understand that:

1. Artist agrees to hold harmless and release the Hanover Park Park District (the “Park District”), its officials, officers, employees and volunteers for any loss or damage to artist’s work(s). Artist further agrees to waive his/her subrogation against the Park District for any loss or damage to the artist’s work(s) of art. The Park District is not responsible for any loss of damage to the artist’s work(s) of art regardless of the cause.

2. Artist understands and agrees that he/she is responsible for maintaining his/her own insurance to cover damage to any works in such amounts determined to be sufficient by the artist.

3. Artist understands that he/she is responsible for the delivery of his/her works on Thursday, February 28 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm.) The Artist agrees to have suitable hardware to install his/her work. Work must be labeled on the back with artist’s name, title, year, etc. and any other information for labels. Also, tape an ID label to the FRONT of the work. In no event will the Park District be liable for any improper installation and/or placement of any art work, and Artist holds harmless and releases the Park District, its officials, officers, employees, and volunteers form any liability attributable to such installation and/or placement. WORK MUST BE READY TO HANG. HPPD WILL NOT ADD WIRES, ETC. If work is not ready to hang, it will be excluded from the show.

4. The Artist understands that he/she is responsible for the de-installation and collection of work(s) on Monday, April 1 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Failure of Artist to de-install and remove any such Artist’s work by said date may result in the Park District removing said work at Artist’s expense. The Artist understands that the Hanover Park Park District is not responsible for any art that is left at the Hanover Park Park District, 1919 Walnut Ave., after final de-installation date.

5. No work will be removed by the Artist prior to the end of the exhibition.

6. The Park District retains the right to refuse work that the Park District determines to be inappropriate, or that could endanger the public safety.

7. It is the Artist’s responsibility to price his/her work. The Artist agrees that all inquiries regarding the purchase of works of art on view will be directed to the gallery supervisor, and that a 20% commission on the sale of Artist’s work will be retained by the Park District. In no event shall the Park District be liable for Artist under-estimating the value of his/her work or for any lost profits attributable to the work being sold for less than its fair market value.

8. The Park District agrees to provide and install labels for the exhibition.

9. The Park District agrees to provide flyer-type announcement/invitation unless the artist wishes to design and provide it. In that case, the artist agrees to submit announcement/invitation at least two weeks before beginning of show for approval.

10. The Park District will host a 2-hour reception on Monday, March 11 and provide basic cookies and punch or wine and cheese. Artist is welcome to bring refreshments, but let us know in advance.

11. Notwithstanding any provision in any of the documents to the contrary, the Artist agrees to waive any right which he/she may have to punitive, consequential, special, indirect, incidental, and/or exemplary damages and/or lost profits from the Park District and agrees not to make any claim or demand for such damages and/or lost profits against the Park District.

12. Notwithstanding any provision herein to the contrary, the Park District may terminate this agreement with or without cause by providing not less than five (5) days prior written notice of termination to Artist.
